@@yuu_miranI'm a grandma, and may i suggest everything that everything a narcissist is, don't be, and make sure to really think who you're children are around them growing up,their morals same as yours,if they are a blessing. We are all living in a world of lovers of oneself, and they are going to deal with SOO MUCH with narcissist people, where they like KNOW THAT AIN'T RIGHT, BECAUSE WHEN YOUR CHILD, AND EVEN YOURSELF,TURNED 18 TO LOOK BACK AT LIFE, WE DON'T REMEMBER EVERY SINGLE DAY (not me) but we all have LOTS OF MEMORIES, PARENTS PLEASE TEACH YOUR CHILDREN ALL THE RIGHT AND WRONGS, show them which way to go, this world is not stopping at this kind of meanest, and those tablets in little one's faces, children aren't going to know even how to communicate with each other so heck with feelings you know, Myself included we ALL NEED TO GET THE FEAR IN GOD IN US, MAY YOU FIND YOUR ANSWERS IN YOUR ANCESTORS, LIKE YOUR OWN GRANDMA'S OR LIKE A GRANDMA.WHATS THEIR ADVICE,? Narcissists thinking you were created to serve them - oh I've experienced that. Talk about a God complex, and them thinking they are God. Amazing. My last narcissist hid his true feelings about Christianity for awhile, and was very deceptive. When those came to light, I was/am perplexed. What's it to him if I go to church? Why on earth would he care? Oh, maybe it's because he was trying to isolate me to control me better - and my first priority should be him not God. His new target for supply, he's acting all supportive of her going to church. He told her he was proud of me for going to the Eastern Orthodox church in town. I was so puzzled. He didn't like it, but I was just thinking he found that less offensive than going to the Catholic Latin Mass, which I couldn't understand why. Duh, he's doing the same thing to ensnare her, pretending he's fine with Christianity until he can ensnare her and make her choose between him or God. He was nuts to think I'd chose him over God. He tried. I walked. It was the final straw. Then he was baffled that I never came over again after making me watch a movie totally mocking my religious beliefs and insisting I find it as funny as he did. Good grief, I'm not giving up my religion for him or choosing him over God. He's truly baffled by that. Amazing. Many narcs do think you exist to serve them, like they are God. Truly astounding, but I've seen it in my family too.

The narcissists think that they are gods and they want to convince you in that: that everything they do and say is good and true! In fact, they are not religious: they just want to take the place of God in your life!

This goes for narcissist parents too, only more so. Narcissist parents who are religious love to remind their children of the commandment, "Honor thy father and thy mother," and act as though that gives them unlimited rights over their children. I remember when I stood up to my mother, when she was telling me something bad (and untrue) about myself, and I told her, calmly and respectfully, that she was wrong, she would say, "You need to confess that to the priest at your next confession." She would tell me that I was in violation of that commandment any time I contradicted her about anything.

The Pastorette (woman pastor) told me to treat my husband with mental issues as I would if he were in a wheelchair! Because she was a narc. herself that made sense to her. ..but misery for me and the kids. Every 4 to 6 months I would have to drive him to the locked ward at the VA. 8 ys later I left him and took the kids. He made death threats to me. But here is how I finally left...His va as well as mental health dr both told me in the same words, "Just because he's disabled still does not give him the right to abuse you, there are millions of disabled people who don't abuse!" So I left. The Cult too. Also, bad advice #2 A Cult is when you give uncriticle submission to a person. Things like, "Don't go to the police". Great.❤

True true true, worst part of being abused by n-ex was long lasting damage to my once open trusting vibrant relationship with God , I entered relationship believing he was saved & had a personal relationship w Jesus ( he lied?) but the harder we tried the worse he got, using the bible & religious community to alienate me further and increase the abuse blame & condemnation. Pure evil.

Same for when he or she tells you “God is telling me/guiding me/prompting me to do this.” It’s almost impossible to argue with or question “god” and that’s why they do it. They use “god” as a weapon against you. But if it’s something that is actively hurting you, God would not want that to happen. God would not be guiding someone to do something that is harmful or abusive towards you.

All of my parents' enablers pulled that crap on me. I told them, "I'm honoring them by staying away from them." Reactive abuse is real, and I know me. If I had to take care of them now bc they're old I wouldn't. I'd do unto them as they did unto me, and I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it. So it's best for everyone if I remain NC. That's how I honor them, and more importantly, how I honor myself.
