6'4" 265 lbs. 65 plus year old. This bike is pretty comfortable. I had a day riding 250 miles and it wasn't bad. Of course getting off for gas and bathroom breaks helps. I can ride this longer than my ZX14R.

@@engqi9463 If you get one make sure to tune it. I got mine flashed early this year and its worth every penny. It goes over 100 mph pretty easy even with me on it. Of course on the streets of Mexico.

Try putting a pop filter over ur mic to see if the crackling is wind noise, it could be a gain issue so if that doesnt work try lowering the volume of the recording and raising it afterwards in post to be loud enough :) good video!

Love the content man, I have some tips about the crackling if you haven’t checked these already, but make sure in your camera settings that you are not in standard mic+ if your mic doesn’t require it same thing with powered mics either, if you checked this try using a lavalier mic from purple panda I use it and it sounds alright, great budget mic and sounds good, but it does pick up wind. Hope something works!

Analysis is pretty solid. I'm averaging 56mpg @70mph on my Zx4RR on the highway. I've taken the bike on round trips to/from my home to Amarillo Texas at 130 miles a trip a few times. The seat and ergonomics are more comfy than a base Ninja 400 (which was a surprise for me......) Less vibration from the inline 4 cylinder engine is the main reason. I don't get the "tingly fingers." on the Zx4 like I did on the parallel twin Ninja 400. Power is more than enough for even Interstate 40 and passing the occasional rogue semi or jacka$$ texting on their cell phone. The seat is definitely more comfy than the Ninja 400 for no apparent reason. I can ride for 90 minutes without feeling like a horse kicked me in the butt or the berries. I will disagree with your analysis on the suspension. I'm a fatty at 230lbs. The suspension is still at the stock settings. Works fine... neither too soft or firm for my weight.

How tall are you? I'm 6'5" and considering this for my next update. The seat height of my current bike which is a tourer is the same as Zx4r expect for the sporty stance and I don't have any issues doing hours in my current one.

I guess just really comes down to the rider and what you’re used to. If im on a bike for longer than an hour it’s usually dirt bikes so I’m more used to that riding position/style. Thanks for watching!

I don't ride my 636 every day, and I'm 36. City traffic will hurt me after 30min, open highway and twisty riding usually either a couple hours or 150mi, whichever comes first. I'm also in the worst physical shape of my life, at 6' even, 120lbs. It's NOT comfortable, not at all, but bearable to a certain point. Unbearable is after four+ hours in the saddle. Prospective supersport riders: Use me as a "bad case ergo scenario" for your sport bike riding quest.

i think the crackling is from all the wind noise, so it could be either from the front vent being open or where your mics at and mice getting up under your helmet

I have a 100 mile (round trip) commute. I can attest that this bike is an excellent for commuting, it's just thirsty.

Yeah I think it would be smart for Kawasaki to bring a the regular R to the market without ABS and the upgraded suspension. Bring the price down by 2k or so. Then people could get the engine without all the other stuff.

Yeah but the tune is more above the 11k mark and I'm rarely above that. I know it's a little more peppy at around the 8k to 10k but not that much. I guess if it were tuned I would only have to drop one gear to over take instead of two. Maybe.

How do you manage to get suck MPG?!? I'm lucky to get 35. I definitely can't commute on that thing because as soon as I sit on it I wanna ride like a hooligan. My previous bike was a ninja 400 and I am thinking about getting another one just so I can commute and get great fuel mileage. I just can't find it in me to ride ZX-4RR normally.

yikes, I get about 36mpg on 2021 bmw s1000rr. Gotten as much as 42mpg :) I'm definitely thinking about getting a zx4rr tho

Hey man great video love the information. But maybe check the connection of your mic or readjust it. I’m going to assume it’s a intercom mic but I could be wrong but imo it sounds like it’s peaking. If it is an intercom you should be able to adjust the mic sensitivity in the settings for the intercom “ie in the app” If it’s not an intercom idk but adjusting the mic sensitivity or gain if you can

Question for you! I picked up this bike about two weeks ago and It's my first bike. Do you have any issues with your quick shifter? I use it 100% of the time. Does your engine buck sometimes? It's not smooth 100% of the time, and just had a failed shift from 2nd to 3rd which is kinda funky. From my research I might not have shifted up as hard as I could? Just wondering if yours bucks, especially on downshifts- it doesnt buck on downshift if im using the rear brake.

Mines fine on downshifts. However the quichsifter is really meant for wide open roads/track going at least half throttle or full throttle. Around town going 1st to 2nd it’s a little rough but from what I understand that’s pretty normal for quick shifters when you’re not going All out. I actually have it turned off around town

@@spencertasso1533 wonderful! I did get it tuned and full exhaust, much more power. The only weakness I would say is the clutch feeling, I’d like it to be heavier/solid like a 600. But maybe it’s a Kawasaki thing

@@duck8280 Nope it's this bike. I have 3 other Kawasaki's and they all have heavier clutch pulls. I've never rode a bike with a clutch this light. Even my Z125 pro is heavier.

Try using some velcro straps or tape on the mic cable. If the wind makes it move it will crackle.

Suh dude- I’m currently watching your video and haven’t heard you mention what type 300cc bike you had. I was just curious which one it was. Also, I started learning how to ride on the 2019 Honda cb300r - awesome little bike to learn on with 28ish horsepower, then I bought a 2020 Street Triple R 765 - even better ride after a year of riding the 300, then I ended trading the 765 for a Triumph Speed Twin 1200cc. Sweet cruiser retro with very nice torque down low…and now I’m back on a 300 😂 Kawasaki KLX300sm - the most fun I’ve had out of all of the bikes. Anyway, I’m looking at the ninja 400 or zx4rr. Good content my guy. Keep ‘em coming.

I currently own the ninja 400 and for me it's very confortable, have you had the change to ride a ninja 400? Can you compare the two? I really like the body position on the ninja 400 but anything a little more extreme than that I'll pass. Is that the case with the zx4?

I own the ZX4 and have rode a 400 as well. The seating is quite similar. The comfort of the ZX4 is more comfortable than a ZX6. The ZX4 is not aggressive at all. Very similar to the 400. Hope it helps

Not worth buying. The torque isn't there for casual road use and if tuned, well the reliability will suffer. R7 or RS660 makes more sense, especially due to lower price.

hell yeah man im averging the same mpg. i just picked up my ZX4RR last weekend and i commute 70 miles round trip to work and this is perfect so far and im going to get the tst throttle tube to eliminate the forward slop in the stock throttle tube cause it makes me have to regrip sometimes. and what exhaust are you going to go with i found a company in cali making one for reasonable price

You know there's a huge difference between a single/twin 300 and a inline 4 400 right? Also the ZX4RR is the only small cc inline 4 in production in us and it's in a class of it's own. Makes so much more sense than a 600 for around town

Im just torn between zx4rr and z900 since the price is the same. I need a bit comfort since currently my 04 cbr 600rr is bad for my back but not really a fan of naked bikes. Wifey is telling me to get the zx4rr due to looks. So if this is even a bit more comfortable than the cbr then im sold. I do 4 hrs commute a day including winter. I am tired of fast bikes...everywhere in italy is 50-70kmh speed limit. I drove an r1 before and did not enjoy it. I also used to own an 89 cbr400rr which was enough 😅

Lol. A Super Sport with a close-ratio gearbox, that makes less than 25 pounds of torque at 11,000 rpm? That's just a stupid choice for general transportation use. A 650-700cc naked sport twin with a wide-ratio gearbox would make MUCH more sense.

@okinawanah3463 Huh? Motorcycles like the Hayabusa and ZX14R are great for general transportation and sport-touring. They're VERY docile. They have wide-ratio gearboxes with very accessible first gears, and make substantial torque right off idle.

@@DortonFarb you are not going to be doing the speed limit beyond 2nd gear I had a ZX14, it lives beyond 150 MPH in 3rd gear. I also had a Concours 14 which was geared differently than a ZX14.
