Prices in Russia nowadays rise up for everything. But some categories of expenses you can cut, but something like a regular mortgage payment is a commitment you have to deliver in full scope. Is it that hard to cope with? Is it possible to buy an apartment in 2022 for a regular family? Watch the video.

When a country has a thug leadership, it has to and should be faced with international punishments. I live in Iran and we do also have a thug and criminal regime, and the sanctions are being here for about 43 years and they are at the severe form for the last 4 years. But if the sanctions were not applied, this thug regime would do even more brutality to its own people and also to the world. So the sanctions hit people too, but people have to decide if these thug leaders are their representative or not.

@@danielmccarthyy The sad part of the story is that almost all dictators around the middle east and also eastern europe are hostages to Putin's regime and he intentionally uses them to blackmail the free world. Look at what he did in Syria and leveled the cities to keep Asad in power, what he did in Kazakhstan and Belarus to suppress people's uprisings for freedom. Also through the last 15 years, he super charged the Iranian regime with the latest equipements and intelligence to help them suppress dozens of uprisings and slaughtering people. So the only way I see to achieve freedom in these countries, is to get rid of Putin first. sadly, but Putin's regime made the situation this way. No blame on us.

Would you say that many people in Iran would agree that your country has a thug leadership?
@mohamadnobakht8356
@mohamadnobakht8356 2 жыл бұрын
@@freedomlandcanada230 Yeah, if you were able to come here you would see yourself. The problem with the media is that the Iranian regime has spent millions of dollars throughout the last decades to picture a frame of Iran portraying the propaganda they want, to the world. Unfortunately, the free world media is not innocent here, they helped the Iranian regime by providing them a platform to expand their propaganda through the free world. When Iranian regime killed 1500 people during the 3 days uprisings in November 2019 and shut down the entire internet for 10 Days, CNN reporters were saying that "killing of at least 1 person during protests is reported". This is shameful for a news outlet in the west. But they did it many times during the last 20 years. And they also did it many years ago, when Hitler was nothing but a crazy political activist. The news media and free world reporters tried their best to justify Hitler, and now we all know what he did at the end.

Even then, the west made sure to keep civillians out of it, and publicly decry their soldiers for harming civillians. Russia seems to do the opposite, while claiming its the same with what the west did. Bombing indiscriminantly while lying and covering up their atrocities, which happen 100x more frequently with 100x larger magnitude. You know your arguement is fucking stupid, if your justifying bombing civillians, just beacuse the other countries did it. People just focusing on their own career and cookie-cutter life goals is precisely why world affairs are dominated by top-heavy power games. I can understand why Russia doesn't go full socialism/communism style, but some courage is needed. For example, it is kinds sad if German supermarket price tags have amount-based prices shown, as a requirement, and in Russia it is a rare thing. Price deceptiveness/obfuscation is a trait of crapitalism. These things have more effect on the nation than many would accept.

As a professional financial adviser in Germany, I enjoyed your presentation, obviously as a layman, not excatly correct. But a pretty good try, respect for that. Your highlighted a problem which is happening all over the world, in different degrees. We had a massive trend leaving the countryside into the big cities. But with massively rising food prices, or unavailability of it, and massively rising interest rates, on the other side massive job looses because foreign companies leaving, living in the cities becomes simply unaffordable for most people. They have to move back to the countryside simply in order to survive. Over years, actually decades, home prices in many big cities were going only up, to levels unimaginable a few years ago. After Putin decided to flatten Grosny-style cities like Mariupol, Charkiv, Sumy and many more, the dream of a flat in a city, a condo in multi-storey house, beeing a solid investment, one can plan your life and family around for the next 30 years, this dream has been popped by Putin. Simply the rise, as you mentioned, from 9,7% to 22,4% in interest rate, makes flats in cities unaffordable. Millions of families will go broke. Your mentioned the government sponsored program for families with small kids, where the government makes up the difference between the market rate (22%) and goverment rate (5%), is actually a subsidy. How long will a sanctioned government be able to pay for it in your opinion? And when the goverment dont pay, than the bank will have to make up for the difference. No bank can survive this for more than a few months. What is your 30-year loan contract worth, when the bank is broke? What happens then? What is the money on the bank account worth, in fact this money backs the credit or loans made by the bank. My assumption is, that you are not aware of, what happened here. Putin, by starting the massive killing of innocent people and especially children, has in fact dropped a "financial" nuclear bomb on the Russians in his own country, especially in the big cities. My advise, sell your home, as long as you get something for it, move to the countryside or move to another country, as long as you can. People in big cities in Russia will run out of energy, food and medicine soon. Wages, and especially pensions, wont get paid, or in worthless (toilet) paper (like Venezuela). Millions of Russian people, especially elderly, will sadly starve to death or commit suicide. I know the time in the 90tees what happened in Serbia, when Milosevic started the war in Bosnia, to make Serbia great again. More lives were lost in Belgrade, especially among the elderly, than in Srebrenica were killed. Putin, Milosevic, Stalin, Hitler, when will people overcome the plague of ignorance of humanity?

It kinda is… this didn’t happen overnight. They know… at least some know they are being lied to, and they don’t do anything. Poland fought against their corrupt government in the 80’s. The Russian people just sit there and accept it; for decades. Sure if you have twenty protesters it’s not going to do anything to help change; but they can’t arrest millions. My point is, doing nothing, knowing what the truth is, makes you complicit; thus it makes it just as much your fault. If you walk past a dying person and don’t help them, you’re as guilty as the person who stabbed them.

Criminals Western people who support their criminal leaders who again support Ukraine criminal leaders and oligarchs which make trouble to Russians and Russian speaking people of Kremia and peoples republic Donetsk and Luhansk. Western people have zero sympathy to Russians and Ukrainians. Russians know this but Ukranians are still brainwashed by puppet Zelensky and co. Thanks for another great video, Zangieff! No hate from here and in my daily travels in the USA, I do not sense any hate for regular Russians, nor has anyone made some derogatory comments of such. The haters are usually very ignorant and have personal issues that make them lash out at the world in general. I have a Germain name and to this day, I still get comments about me being a part of the German history of 1930-1945. Really??? There are very few people still alive that were adults in the time. And still, ignorant people make some condescending comments. "Water off a duck's back." Keep on doing what you do and you and your family stay safe.

Here in Canada house price have also gone up considerably in the last few years. For a long time now they've gone up at a higher rate than incomes. What has also gone up is the percentage of houses owned by people who own more than one property. 2014 till now it's gone from 10% of the market to 24%. Houses are being used as an investment like stocks or bonds and this is driving up the prices. Could something similar be happening in Russia?

Same in Sweden. Also the interest rates have been very low so it has been very cheap to loan money from the banks and apparently the banks are earning a lot on the housing loans. It is very low risk since people almost always pay them back and they are very long term so even if the interest rate is low , the sum people have to pay is huge. It's a good deal for the banks.

I’m from Australia and it’s interesting to hear a lot of similarities. For example we are also seeing inflation outpace wage growth on average. And house prices growing much much higher than this as well. Although here most Australians have ‘variable rate home loans’ or ‘short term fixed rate loans’ (I know in the USA they have a lot of long term fixed rate loans) and interest rates are around 2-3% at the moment. In my lifetime they’ve never been above 10%. It’s sad to hear people would be mean to the Russian people because of the war. Unfortunately it’s the Russian people who will fund the war through higher taxes, interest rates, sanctions and unemployment but it pales in comparison to the consequences for Ukrainian civilians of this war.

Yeah, but don't forget that here Nathan our monthly average income is WAY higher than the average Russian. For example, prior to the war, the Russian GDP was only very slightly higher than ours, and yet we have less than 20% of their population. According to Zangieff, the average income there is only about 1300 bucks, or less than 16 grand per year. We don't even pay tax if you earn that low here (start paying at $18k).

@@roar666 good point but actually I think the ratio of monthly income and house price was similar. Median monthly salary of $5,000 and median price of $1,000,000 here is not too far from what they’re experiencing too it’s about 150-200 times monthly salary. Obviously other things like cost of living influence the ability to buy and repay a mortgage too. But yes when converted to USD or AUD you find the value of their currency is lower but I feel this comparison is only appropriate for those who wish to sell and live abroad. For the general Russian population their currency value has little effect in day to day life. It’s the same here, a strong Aussie dollar means cheap overseas goods but does little to affect our domestic goods and services and actually harms our export business.

You have a deep misunderstanding about who Putin is. For one thing, he was 100% right about Ukraine. If we had been in Russia's position, we would have crushed Ukraine years ago for what they've done. Ukraine would be just a black pit by now. Go watch Senator Tulsi Gabbard's KZbin channel for the truth about Ukraine. It's nothing like we've been told by the media. For another thing, Putin has modernized Russia. He has made Russia almost entirely self-sufficient (unlike us), made it highly industrialized (unlike us), and has just about accomplished putting the currency on the gold standard (unlike us). If I were Russian, I would have a serious case of hero worship. I wish we had a president that cared about us like that.

Thank-you Zangieff for the information. As far as some people saying bad things to you personally, that is most unfortunate, however, you MUST understand that in this one unique case, most humans in the world with a hint of compassion would like to see the Russian people feeling more pain. This is not due to ANY hatred of the Russian people, this is due to the knowledge that most people know the only way Putin will be stopped permanently is through internal revolution or the people standing up. Since it seems the Russian people haven't had the motivation to do anything about him in over 20 years, then it is time for the rest of the world to give the Russian people some motivation to do the right thing.

When I was in college, I lived with a Russian family in New York. They left Russia after WW2. I rented the top floor of their house. They were a couple in their early 60s whose daughter attended Columbia University. We developed a very close relationship and became good friends. They were some of the nicest, hardest working, most intelligent people I have ever met. Their stories about the Soviet Union were interesting. They talked about life in the Soviet Union under Stalin and during World War 2. Most Russian people I have met are intelligent, hard working people. Putin is attempting to relive the post World War 2 era where Russia dominated Europe. Unfortunately, times have changed. Today, based upon Russia's vast oil, natural gas, and mineral reserves Russia should be a wealthy nation wiith a high standard of living. Instead, Putin has squandered this wealth on a broken military machine. Corruption in Russia has siphoned off Russia's wealth into the pockets of Putin and his inner circle of corrupt apparatchiks. The biggest threat to Russia is Putin and his inner circle. Until the Russian people figure out how to get rid of Putin and his cronies, Russia will not get anywhere near realizing its full economic potential.
