In today’s episode, I talk with Pastor Voddie Baucham about his new book, “It’s Not Like Being Black: How Sexual Activists Hijacked the Civil Rights Movement.”
“Gay is not the new black, it’s merely the old sodomy,” says Voddie Bauchum. Sexual identity is not the same thing as race and has been manipulated to lead America down a path that will normalize pedophilia and the persecution of Christians as the ultimate goals.
In his new book, It’s Not Like Being Black: How Sexual Activists Hijacked the Civil Rights Movement (www.amazon.com...) (Regnery Faith, June 4, 2024) pastor and theologian Voddie Baucham (www.voddiebauc...) addresses the dangerous alliance between gender ideology and the civil rights movement and shares why this is the latest threat to the church from social justice warriors.

ABOUT BECKET:
Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory
School of Dallas. After graduating from college, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular by demonstrating through his personal testimony and biblical truths that, yes, homosexuality is still a sin, and that following Christ is infinitely more satisfying and joyous.
He has lived all over the world in major cities such as Rome, Vienna, and Tokyo.
Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.
Becket’s book, A Change of Affection: A Gay Man’s Incredible Story of Redemption, with a
foreword by Francis Chan, published by Thomas Nelson, released July 30, 2019.

The challenges facing Bible believing Christians today are mind boggling. My husband passed 7 years ago and he would be totally amazed at the normalisation of gender identity disorders being treated with surgery and hormones almost universally throughout the western world. Some Christians believe the pendulum will swing back and people will see sense, but I believe we have gone past the point of no return. The tragedy is that young people are being sucked into a godless black hole and many will never be exposed to the Truth. I am so thankful for champions like you two, you are taking on Goliath and I believe we must continue to hold our banner high so that some will yet be brands snatched from the fire. God bless you both richly 🙏🛐✝️💖

Most African people are hard working, we can survive without aid. Aid is used as a tool to control African governments, it's because of this reason most African countries are turning towards China and Russia.

@@classicstormbut you weren't enslaved you're no more victimized than they are. White Christian Russian people were enslaved for 400 years by pagan Asians does that mean I'm a victim today. No race owns victimhood.

I’m Canadian. We had a pastor (unemployed) renting from us. He had been born in Kentucky and lived for awhile in California. He was pro gay marriage. He constantly said that everything said about gays was exactly what was said against ‘Blacks’. He called them ‘Blacks’ never Black People’. He used this argument to discredit every argument against gay marriage. He thought of himself as the last word on the subject.

The UMC has just accepted SS practicing clergy (they are changing the wording of their bylaws to contradict the Bible). I don’t attend the church, but I do work for a small UMC rural congregation. As a Christian, I feel like I should leave, but I have had ppl tell me they need believers. Help-I need Godly council.

One of the UMC in my home state was able to raise enough money to leave and become Global Methodist. I still receive emails from my old church (UMC) and after General Conference the male pastor wrote an email where he referred to the Holy Spirit as "her" twice. That is blasphemy. I now live in the UK and I see all sorts of identity flags on the churches in my area. I attend church services online and stay in prayer without attending in person right now. I pray that God will lead you to where you need to be. ✝️

These churches (the 3 I work for) are slow to act. They prefer to be reactive rather than proactive. Now they have to figure out how to proceed. I hope they will choose God’s word over familiar tradition.

Tell them that if they don't leave the denomination and clearly separate themselves from those ideas they will have to find a replacement for your position. Give them a deadline and go find another job. Chances are very small that a church that gives in on these issues will ever recover. If you have to leave make sure the entire congregation knows why you are leaving to encourage others who are not too far gone to do the same. (Don't be angry about, but be clear) We used to go to a large (formerly) baptist church that just kept introducing more and more worldly practices from management to marketing to bing in the bodies. There was no regard for any of the longtime members who tried to correct the course of the church. Leadership was proud of growing attendance and eventually the place went completely off the rails. This is happening all over the place. It appears to be the great falling away mentioned by Paul in 2.Tes. We cannot help people who know the truth and leave anyway. We have to cut ties with them. If they repent and come back we take them back. If they insist on going down the wrong path all we can do is pray for them. Arguing won't help since they already have rejected God. Spend your time in a place where people might see your witness and listen to you.

@yoyoam27 thank you for the encouragement. Recently I was contemplating their recent decision, and it got me thinking about what other things they passed. Abortion is now going to be acceptable if it is acceptable and agreed on by all parties (law, partners, parents…). I was like, 😳what?!! Now there is no question. I won’t be staying. I cannot. Even if they choose to leave the UMC, it’s still not ok.
