Last month those 5 traits of alpha was outlined as traits of sigma, by somebody else... I'm not alpha. I stand at Parade Rest, to one side, while young (I'm 70) inexperienced alphas screw stuff up, ...and after they flounder for a little while, I step up in the Batters Box with a Plan B, and explain how a little teamwork will get us closer to our Objectives. I thought that was sigma male action. Which is it..???

I had always thought most alphas were based off of a large egos with a bully mentality. A lot of the things you had brought up have been things I try my best with and still had always seen myself as a beta. I have recently started focusing more on following and working for my goals. And the more I’ve split my time instead of putting all of my energy into others, I’ve become being noticed more. Not only by women but men looking for direction. Just by watching your videos I have been able to change my point of view in myself and work the information I’ve learned and direct that energy into my relationship and sex life. Keep up the great content and teaching us how to make our lives and better!

Most of the traits resonated with me, all of them except looking for a connection. I ended a relationship because I wanted to open it, and now I am being promiscuous and enjoying it. It is not that I don't want a relationship or a family, but I refuse to renounce to passion for life, the actual chemical lust for meeting someone new. I've heard many times that you can have it and renew it with a single couple, but this hasn't been my personal experience no matter how many toys are brought to the bedroom or outside of it.

Loved this! I tell all the young men and boys something similar. They say girls like jerks and I tell them it isn't that girls like jerks it is that they are attracted to confidence and a man going somewhere. A man that won't compromise just because the girl is hot. You can be kind but you also have to be honest and firm. I never had kids of my own but I raised my sister's son after she passed away and he knocked up a couple of girls. He was a deadbeat dad until he passed away from a drug overdose. He was a great guy but he was irresponsible and you couldn't count on him. However, I stepped in and now I basically have three grown daughters and eight grandchildren. They all love me and my wife and it is a great feeling.

Great video Caitlin. However, I've kept hearing about the alpha thing for years, and I'm everything you described as far as being a go getter and have goals and a vision for my life, even at 50. I've never been married and not even in a relationship now. My last girlfriend broke up with me after I competed in a bodybuilding competition, and the second one, which I took first place, more of my female friends (former girlfriends, potential girlfriends, etc) don't talk to me anymore and even blocked me on social media. My last girlfriend nagged me the other day of how I "wasted" my last few months on bodybuilding, playing guitar (I take weekly lessons from a famous guitarist), and learning a new job skill (computer networking and cyber-security) even though I have a master's in engineering and 25 years experience. It seems when women find the man they say they are looking for, she f**ks him off after a while for a less quality man. What is going on here?!

Some fear within you. Lots of men who are into bodybuilding have a hidden insecurity as an example. Perhaps you had something like this within you. Law of assumption teaches that anything you assume, think, believe to be true, will show up in your 3D reality. So even if you have a billion dollars, the dream bod, and everything else going for you, if you have doubts, the woman will leave. However, good news is anything you manifest out of your life, you can manifest back into your life. Anyone and anything. That's how powerful we are.

This whole Alpha, Beta whatever concept does not seem to apply to human that well just based on the fact that many woman (and men) do not choose mating partners wisely. Hi there, I just happened to be browsing around on KZbin and saw Alpha Male. I'm glad I stopped and took a look, without going into too much detail you have done a wonderful job describing what a true Alpha is. I come from a military SF background, while most others out there think or perceive us as muscle bound, chest thumping, screaming control freaks. This is so far from the truth. Rambo's don't exist. The attrition rate is so high in the programs for a lot of the reasons that make up what others see as an Alpha. Those muscle-bound, chest thumping, masters of the universe are usually the first to quit. While yes we must work very hard physically, it is all mental. We have to be highly intelligent even to be considered for selection. Yes we are trained in violence, but that is not the true nature of what we do. A good example of the mind set should be apparent from a moto "De Oppresso Liber" To Liberate or Free the oppressed. We are always trying to find the next level of personal advancement, while also making sure we move forward together as a TEAM. Any way like you have already explained so eloquently and completely what a true Alpha is, it is the one that is there for everyone else, we expect nothing, and will give everything so others might grow and be safe. Being a mentor, a teacher, etc. Thank you for clarifying this subject for others, hopefully good education in ways like you have presented here, will allow growth and dispel a lot of incorrect myths.

No matter how good I know I am, that nervous feeling when every man gets when we approach an attractive woman, it gets the best of me everytime, and these woman aren't out on Friday night, waiting to be hit on, they're in the store, at work, or any old place where people usually wouldn't go to meet people, but its you're only oppertunity, and you're unprepared with nothing in mind to say, all I know is she's beautiful and I'd like to get her number so I can get to know her. In some cases, sex/relationship coach can be more effective than a psychologist. I myself have been a psychologist for two years, but in the short term, had to confest your videos are more useful than what I do. - In the long term, the therapy derivatives are more useful such as family, sexual, couple therapy, etc. But this is another matter

This was a reassuring and esteem-building video, and it's too bad we don't live in an ideal world where every woman thinks like you do, but in reality, most hot women are going to pick hot guys or a guy who dramatically stands out in some other way. Even after women's lib, the sexual revolution, Me Too movement, and so on, women still want a guy who they see as at least equal to or preferably better than themselves. That is their real definition of Alpha Male. I know more than one guy who isn't responsible at all, isn't thoughtful, is self-centered, is a sleazeball cheater, but he scores crazy hot girls regardless, because he looks good and is confident enough just in that, or has an exciting job in entertainment and has a social media presence, etc. A total peacock. So it's hard for me to buy this honestly, just from what I've seen with my own eyes.
