@@halfvolley11 Jesus came for all men, not just Jews. He created a new Israel which lives on in the Roman Catholic Church and its priesthood. The Old Testament prescribed a priesthood for mankind. We offer sacrifice to God in the manner prescribed by Jesus. The Roman legions destroyed the old temple of the Jews and they lost their priesthood, the cohens. Islam doesn’t have a priesthood. Out of curiosity, how do you worship God without sacrificing to him?

MashaAllah. Even 1% of this, would have taken ages to research!!! Thank you! I think it's the shaitan trying to change Allah's Creation, his attempt at misguiding us. May Allah Protect us all. Ameen. The power of god should with ease be capable of eradicating the evil of shaitan but has yet to do so, maybe he's too busy to help he's creation to achieve his kingdom and is a jealous god or maybe he regrets giving mankind the power of thought word and deed

@@johnmicallef2627 hahaha clearly you haven't read Quran. Allah allowed Shaitan to have the power he does in the world. Allah has created in this worldly life the very dynamic of Shaitan trying to lure us away from the straight path. Life is a test for us and Shaitan is one of the obstacles. But you think Shaitan is a separate entity and Allah is powerless to defeat him, hahaha. Rather what would our life be if we had nothing to strive for and nothing to strive against? If everything were good and nothing were evil, what would our life truly consist of? There would be no choices to make. No reason to push forward and achieve. The very things which make us human would go away.

I have news for you- there are gay people from all religions, races, ethnicities etc. You sound ignorant. You can’t change anyone and make them go from gay to straight (not even your kids). If you loved your kids, you would simply want them to be happy. But Muslim parents are generally hateful and small minded. There is a reason most people support Israel - they have respect for gay people.

Also please stop thinking it’s us vs them. Would you do the same if it was your own family or child doing it? You have no idea or clue. Just keep talking to him/her as they are still Muslim and keep making an effort to make them understand what they are doing is haram and wrong in both world’s. As a parent I honestly don’t think anyone is beyond change or that they are too far gone. Do your best and keep doing dua to the Almighty only He is the changer of hearts. Haram is haram. The problem is religious or conservative people sticking their head in the sand and refusing to understand that sexual diversity is natural and simply a part of humanity. When you adopt a religious ideology which refuses to change in the face of social evolution or scientific knowledge, you are stuck trying to justify faith-based discrimination as “the truth”. The Abrahamic religions, I’m guessing, are losing followers in some societies due to this inability to change. Simply pointing at your version of a god and saying it demands that only straight people get to have healthy open relationships makes less and less sense today when we see LGBTQ+ people contributing to the world, marrying, raising children and being good moral members of humanity. Trying to change sexual identity is pointless and causes trauma and even suicidal thoughts.

I remember when I was in university I one year I had a roommate who was openly gay and he treated me better and was better mannered than the Muslim roommate I had the following year. And unfortunately there was an uncle at the masjid who said that gay people have "evil souls". And I'm thankfull to Allah for having you here in these times... But as a Black man I realised I started thinking about certain things differently... especially due to the middle-eastern treatment towards black people... Why I mention middle-eastern is because I am muslim.. we all know that treatment towards black from the whole world is mostly different.. especially when we talk about culture... I find that alot of cultures have a problem with marriage outside of their culture even tho we all muslim... it would be interesting to see what you and others have to say about this... because let's be honest... no one want their daughter coming home with a black man... (not all but ALOT) that's troubling to me because I am born muslim and raised abroad with other cultures... I've even given up on the idea of having kids because it seems impossible...

Wa'alaikum Salaam, for my part, my parents were different faiths and different races, for my personal view, I look at the persons characteristics, their values and morals, especially their actions, NOT the colour of their skin. BUT we must treat all with respect and dignity as a Muslim. We are required as Muslims to fight our jihad, our struggles, not to be oppressed, that is OUR CHOICE and always remember to think in the way we are being taught in Islam. Oh, and NOTHING is impossible, improbable yes, difficult, most probably but mankind, all races have found ways to overcome their obstacles, good and bad to achieve goals, good and bad. Your choices define you, whether you give up or not. Insha Allah this gives you a perspective, a perspective and also inspires you to move on and up, but in the right way. Cultures have defined many peoples actions and beliefs, but Islam goes across all of this, incl. this 'hot' topic

that's a very difficult question to answer, but I would be kind and compassionate and remind them that Allahs Mercy is more than his wrath. I would remind them that it means that Allah gives everyone tests while on this earth and some special people get some of the most difficult tests that MOST wont understand, but it is to their benefit that they turn to HIM in repentence and ask for HIS Mercy and ask for strength. I know that this isn't easy and i can't imagine HOW MUCH. But, if some people are given the most difficult tasks and they persevere, keep their faith, abstaining from that sin, in the end who knows what Allah has for them in the afterlife for enduring those extremely difficult trials. I don't know.... Maybe create a confidential helpline for them to call to speak with someone knowledgeable in the dean who can advise and comfort them -- a nonprofit? Excellent explanation, Dr.Yasir, on this very sensitive issue. But in this present & modern world of ours, there're growing beliefs & acceptances throughout that suppressing the abnormal sexual feelings, beliefs, desires & expressions/practices are wrong and depriving of personal freedom of expression & of living the way of life chosen by these particular groups of people. Furthermore, the society & the common laws of many countries now are accepting & developing towards pronouncing and recognising the desires and practices of these group of people as well, particularly in the US, UK & many other EU countries. Some countries in Asia are already considering amending their common laws to recognize the needs of these minority groups in their own countries similarly to what have been done in the western world. Going forward, I guess we are aware that we can not change the changing world of our generation and beyond. We have to recognize that they are our fellow human beings of different sexual orientation needs and treat them with dignity, and let their issues be just between them and Allah.

Then a gay picture, but don't get me wrong; I'm not an athlete, I say I'm anti-gay or racist today, people are more sensitive to expressing their Religious opinions, God forgives us and gives us an understanding and knowledge to respond or how to interact with each other and let the judgment to Allah SWT as Islam teaches us may Allah guide those who have problems with their sexual identity. Thank you, Shaikh, for your help in our community's knowledge of understanding. May Allah bless our scholars. You're carrying a heavy load. May Allah SWT make that easier for all of you. "How Should Muslim Students Interact with People who Identify as LGBTQ?" 1. You don't interact with them unless you have been forced to. 3. If you have been forced to interact with them, keep the interaction as minimal and professional as possible. Do not show hostility, they are extremely powerful people, the entire system is working for them. Never try to preach, it's not your job. Most of them won't understand even a single bit of what you will be talking about. They are too far gone. 2. If you are living in a country/territory where you will be forced to interact with them on a regular basis, leave that country/territory. (disclaimer: I'm not a Muslim. I'm a Christian, left my country and moved to a Islamic country for this very reason)

Treat them as you would any sinner. If you can interact and be peaceful towards a literal kafir, as a Muslim in times of peace should always do especially in non Muslim lands, and even more importantly when they don't do anything to take away your right to practice, then no other kinds of sinners deserve more hate than them. Teach the truth and the right way, pray for someone who's sinned, and at worst, agree to disagree and stay focused on yourself.

This sheikh's opinion is fundamentally flawed on so many levels. Factually he's just not correct that gay people have chosen to be gay. 1. Did you choose to be straight? Did the sheikh? What age did it happen and can be just change it when ever be wants? 2. Being gay has led people to be imprisoned, tortured and executed. Why do these people continue to be gay if this is a choice? This sheikh should be utterly embarrassed and ashamed that he's preaching hate which doesn't even have a correct factual basis. The sad thing is, bigots who watch his videos will hear him confirming their views and praise him. They will go out feeling more confident that their bigotry has a sound philosophical basis.

I really don't know why this needs to be discussed when the answer is just one sentence: No one should judge save Allah SWT. What you are saying is not making any sense, to some extent, by lengthening the talk. Quran is so clear about this issue, and don't underestimate the learning skills of a student in the school as they are more knowledgeable than the previous ones, for the facilities, resources, and opportunities of learning. I wonder why others undermine the new generation by thinking that they are not aware of such issues. No offense.

Yasir Qhadi seems not to understand that sexuality is only one slice of a person’s identity. One reason it is proclaimed proudly by LGBTQ+ people is because they have been oppressed for centuries, in no small part due to religious discrimination. He focuses on the terms being used to describe people with different sexual identities, but tries to undermine their normality and sees the fight for equality as simply a modern construction with no precedence. Heteronormativity is exactly why a sexual minority which has apparently existed in societies for thousands of years at least. Islam and other religions have pushed ONLY one kind of relationship for millennia. LGBTQ+ people are challenging heteronormativity just as black Americans challenged Jim Crow laws and systemic discrimination. It’s about equality as human beings.

Same-sex relationships have ALWAYS existed. They have been depicted in Egyptian hieroglyphics, Greek pottery, and Moche ceramic pots from ancient Andean civilizations in Peru. Same-sex relationships have also been described in medieval Persian poetry, including the famous Sufi poet Hafez, whose tomb is visited by Iranian religious leaders every year, who are happy to ignore their own contradictions. Islamic leaders need to get the idea out of their head that homosexuality is Western propaganda. That delusion will continue to harm society, it creates an atmosphere where to advocate for LGBTQ rights is considered anti-Islamic and treated as apostasy which in many countries equals imprisonment or death. Spare the suffering of LGBTQ people! Let them live a happy and healthy life, that is all.

An excellent answer, but it would help to have some practical tips. For example, if a girl in your class decides to declare herself a boy or a fluid gender, and calls herself Sam or Charlie or something, insisting that others use her new pronouns and her new name, what should Muslim students do? Go along with her delusions, or refuse to give an inch? Such kids dont want to get into an enlightened debate. They dont want to hear another point of view. Its "My way or the Highway" all the way for such people. They have the official blessing of the entire system to be aggressive and belligerent and censor anyone who thinks differently and accuse them of hate speech. How should Muslim teens tackle this?

If some non muslim ask about LGBTQ in Islam , tell them the way it is in Isalm, if they don't agree with you that's their problem. The "I" is scientifically called Kleinfelter or XXY syndrome, funny thing is chances are actually 1 in one thousand with the condition of previous carryover in the DNA from ancestors, meaning it doesn't really happen in every thousand unless they do have it in their lineage. Now you search google you find websites saying five percent to twist the minds, sad truth is most people diagnosed with XXY don't even survive long time, they suffer from severe mind disabilities in most cases, meaning you don't really find them carrying a rainbow flag and worshipping a unicorn and hating people for just being heterosexual, most of them have hard time to just have a normal life and they hide from the crowd but these filth of organisations they are using them as excuse to point at heteros as heartless and evil with no compassion. The others trans claim to be born with it they just take hormones from pharma to change their looks because they have lost their mind. That's the whole truth about it.
