@@donaldhalls2189 Of course. It's Chad's channel, right? Still... why are we here? To watch Chad scurry about, or to watch the progress of the build? If Chad were sitting in a rocker knitting, would we watch? No. Whether or not it's his channel, the focus should be on the build itself. I'm here to learn stuff, not to be a 'fan boy' and watch Chad. Aren't you?

I'm a bit lost for words. The chop was very well done in my opinion (built hot rods in the '70s), but these extensions are taking the look towards bizarre? Never ever did I think Triumph GT6 bonnet parts would be used on any car like this. I hope all you joint efforts will work out, but it is hard to see for me at the moment.

Since you’re customizing the tail lights and headlights I would cut the center raised section out of the green hood and graft it into the center of the ford hood. Looks like it would blend in fine. You could it out and lay it on the ford to see how it looked before grafting it on.

Less is usually more.... Personally I prefer the shoebox shape and in my opinion, adding doodahs like extended tail lights and headlights is going to do nothing for this build. I have ended up liking the roof chop (despite my earlier misgivings) and if it were me I would have stopped there and concentrated on getting the body ready for a really nice paint job.

I totally agree with you. I'm still reeling from the extended tail lights, which look like add-ons. Frenched headlights with eye brows, or just eyebrows.

Big Daddy Ed Roth built unusual vehicles that were one of a kind, that showcased his talent. Chad's makeovers look like Add-Ons with no purpose to enhance the cars he works on. Kind of like Johnny Cash's Cadillac with all the mismatched parts in his song.

I watched a video, “51 Ford, Jay Leno Garage.” Two things struck me about the $100,000+ build: They used the same interior shifter linkage Nate made for the T-bird, and they pancaked the hood and the roof, to give it longer, sleek look. Very nice!

I usually like most of what Chad does and when I don't I at least can see what he was thinking. Unfortunately the headlights will look ridiculous. Once chopped and dropped the front of the car looked cool. Adding those bug eyed headlights makes it look clownish to me. A cool grill with a low profile bumper would be awesome. Oh well, like Chad says, it only has to look good to him.

Hey bad chad….it’s just me ! Just another dude with a belly button. I can’t turn my head away from this show. The work you do is mesmerizing to watch. Even when it hurts. Am I a fan? Why hell yes!… I watch the vids for comic relief. I love the way you began this build with that fancy chalkboard design drawing. By then I knew this shoebox was going to be a keeper… along with your other collector custom cars. (ie the bike hauler with the strange louvers on the deck lid. ) But you are the man who owns the garage, the car, and all of the grinders and cut off wheels! It’s your show. And you can do whatever you want to deplete the dwindling supply of good usable custom car material out there. So let the haters moan and grown. It’s obvious you don’t listen to them anyway! So Happy New Year to you all up there in the Great Frozen North East.! No cars were destroyed making these comments.

Just looked at the backend line and tails. One thing for sure the car is stretching out. So I like the head light idea. With the front of the cars hood coming forward to a point. Six inches like Jolene said looks good to counter the front end. I could speculate but no less than six. Could be slightly more and it wouldn't hurt. The headlight itself should add a little more length. I understand about the chrome and all I would really like to see is that you repair and restore the chrome as much as possible. With a new paint job this car really does demand the chrome to be as good as you can get it. ** My husband who has done mill and factory work says you really should get a work bench so you're not struggling on the floor so much. I think it is a good idea. Take good care.

I would have pulled the Headlights back 2 or 3 inches and fitted Jaguar Recessed Rims. Pull the look of the front back swooping down to a longer rear end, Sled style. Like a Mullet, Business in the Front, Party in the Back. Sorter fronts and longer rears have always worked on iconic Muscle Cars and I feel also works well on Sleds. Overhanging fronts are akin to the ugly head on a Carp! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KEEP the Bullet in the Grille! Do something with it, Spotlight, Fog light, Mascot/Emblem etc. The Bullet is ICONIC on a Shoebox/ Single Spinner Ford retaining its original ties to the iconic Studebaker's of the era...
