Married to a covert narcissist for 26-years. He either was absent or angry - or - silent treatments or explosive anger . I was sooooo lonely in my marriage. He sexually starved me, emotionally traumatized me, and sometimes physically abused me. Gaslighting was a daily abuse. I had to start recording our conversations so I could prove he said it or that it happened. Remember silent treatments are abuse!!! It is a statement that you are not worth talking it out or coming to any resolutions with. It’s not you!

I’ve had my fair share of silent treatment and it’s such a vicious thing to do to someone. Now that I know it’s an abusive attack to your mental health I detach and remove myself energetically until I can physically.

He’s so aggressive and angry. It’s baffling. He huffs whenever I come into a room. Rolls his eyes. It’s so dramatic that it almost seems forced or fake. No one can be this inexplicably angry all the time. My existence pisses him off. So I regulate my appearance. I hide in my room (we have separate rooms). I regulate my face and my words. I don’t even recognize myself anymore.

I'm so sad that is happening. I can tell You; unless they want to change, THEY WILL NOT. Ben gives us the solution. Let that person CHOOSE to be stuck but we get to be free. Healthy ... 🙋

@@kimgordon3695 ❤ I am working on my exit strategy. He is so hopelessly mentally ill that my pity for him often overrides my need for self preservation. I guess he has his shame and I have my own shame for allowing him to manipulate me.
