I'm a Sierra Leonean. I grew up in the Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom in the Port Loko District. Growing up, we only had one Primary School which was built by the Roman Catholic Church. They tried in vain through various channels to convert the people to Christianity. Those areas that remotely open their arms to them, had better School buildings. For my people, the Soso in Lungi, who refused to convert, received no help till today. However, things have changed - many Muslim Schools have sprung up.

Sir please you have missed some important historical facts. The Fullahni tribe and the Mandingo people help for Islam religion to spread. As for the fullahni people spread Islamic through farming and livestock. And Mandingo through business transactions of merchant traders.
