Singapore hydroponics food production relies on vast amounts of electricity and water , along with chemicals . It already has a water supply problem , generates most of its electricity from burning gas , and has to import agricultural chemicals . Questions also have to be asked concerning the quality of its vegetable etc . Hydroponics can never produce many of the variety of food needed in Singapore

As long their exist some external source energy will always be present, water and food is rather limited in the long run

singapore has plenty of sunshine for solar but lacks the land for panels but they already have outdoor vertical farms which require no artificial light.

A big space like lionsworld meeting room size is $95/mth, I wonder about farming, where it can happen, paying point? The reality like if the investor tell of it directly instead of "law knowing first" this time?

Curious how investors do not put their money into agriculture and food production in general. We will feel the effect of this lack of investment by 2050.

@@mikechansw748 Higher food prices and low production due to the effects of climate change. There could be shortage by 2050.

@@MiguelAngel-vi4oq Agreed. I’m extremely worried myself. Climate change will cause massive disruptions in the food supply chain.. SG absolutely will not survive if it relies on 90% of its food imported. May I ask you for advice? I’m studying a humanities degree (sociology) but I feel it’s a big mistake for this very reason: I should be studying agriculture instead. Fill the demand that’s about to come from the enormous, impending food crisis. I don’t know what to do, I would very much like to quit this course and study agi instead

@@mikechansw748 Is there a way you could get a double degree? Sociology and Business Admin. or economics just to name a few. Agriculture doesn’t require any degree to be good at it but you definitely need to understand how the markets and the world is going to react to a major shortage, so I’d quite a good combination to continue studying sociology and complement it with either economics or mathematics. You can learn agriculture in your spare time, you can start by indoors farming tomatoes, lettuce and some herbs. Also, I believe AI to play a major role in how we’re producing food in the future so studying statistics is a must (I’m a statistician and BS in business) and probably some programming will be helpful. My advice is not to quit sociology as it’s itself the very study of human behaviour and it’s such a good skill set to have in the future. PD: I’m doing AI assisted agriculture in my spare time.

@@MiguelAngel-vi4oq Thank you so kindly for the advice, Mr Miguel. Hm sadly, I don’t think it’s possible, but you’re right economics does sound useful But the main reasons why I realise studying agriculture is extremely vital now, is because, well, when the food shortages come I need to be able to grow food for my family. Growing food will be a much needed skill in the near future too, to say the least. I’m very eager to fill the demand

Hungry citizens is not because there is no food, we have food lots of it, but its the price of food. But there are cheaper options of food here too.

Very interesting, sterile environment to grow food? So, I guess all is GMO and pollination without bees. You can feed yourself with that, I'm not interested.

Business Proposal for the Supply of Ionite Plant Catalysts 1. Ionite effectiveness 1-1 Natural minerals used to increase the productivity of vegetable crops 1-2 Mainly used in agriculture, very effective in stimulating the growth of fruits and vegetables 1-3 Can be used for manufacturing nitrate fertilizer, minimizing environmental pollution Note, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved status for Ionite applications and safety 2. How to use smart farm In the smart farm business (hardware), it will be of great help in maximizing crop productivity by utilizing core materials, technologies, and data such as ionite catalysts (soft power). 3. Other fields of application 3-1 Aquaculture / Livestock It can be used as a feed additive. It is a mixture of metal and organic compounds. It improves the digestive function of animals to increase nutrient absorption and helps to maintain the health of organisms. 3-2 Fruit cultivation, Horticulture It can be efficiently used in orchards and gardening. It promotes nutrient absorption and growth, prevents pests and diseases, and improves soil quality. 4. Farmtech , Sample and Price 4-1.
