The Smosh Pit channel was honestly always really good, even during the Defy days because the company just ignored Smosh Pit and just threw money at it a bit. I think it was Shayne who said on a recent podcast episode that the reason he thinks Pit worked so well was because the people there managed to create a friendship with each other (Shayne, Courtney, Noah, Olivia, Keith) whereas the friendship between Ian and Anthony deteriorated during the years of Defy rule

Later when the core cast changed from Lasercorn, Sohinki, and Jovenshire into more Smosh Pit they added more variety such as Board AF and their seasonal games which was on both channels. Doing a dive into them would basically cover how they have changed over time on the platform in both content on members.

But we've seen Mari, Wes, Joven, Lasercorn, Boze, Sarah, Ify, Saige (people that were in smosh0 and All the Smosh Pit original cast, Smosh Games and the Smosh Crew that we love, making us laugh everyday. For someone that want to be a new viewer, i'll recomend their new RPG series, its a lot of Fun. They played Legacy, in Smosh Games. I think they've always been as inconsistently funny. People point to when current Smosh is unfunny, which it sometimes is, but ignore that there are plenty of times when old Smosh was unfunny. But they've always pretty regularly produced funny content, regardless of the cast and crew of the time.

Context about Smosh and Order: it was produced on Smosh Games because Boze (an old member of the cast) produced/pitched the show and she was on the Smosh Games cast. They stopped doing this series because Boze left and had a falling out w the director/producer of Smosh Games Matt Raub. Also the reason why the real lawyer episode was especially funny was because Joven was known for having a big ego/being overconfident in everything he does lol

@@gencarcarhe actually hasn’t worked at Smosh for over a year, but honestly I think he shouldn’t have been working there after what happened with Boze. Smosh and Order was the most successful show they’ve had in years, and it was brilliant conceptually. I hope whoever’s in charge of it now does get in contact with Boze to offer her the deal to use the idea, because it’s one of my favorite series they’ve ever made on the channel. I think the new cast could work wonders with the premise and I’ve always hoped it would return someday, but I knew it wouldn’t if Matt Raub was still there. Matt Raub being petty is essentially the reason why Smosh had to stop making the show, and that was a major loss for the content on the channel. Especially after the OG Smosh Games cast left, the channels were really struggling for content, and that deal falling through was an awful move, professionally speaking. I fully understand if Boze never wants to work with them again or make that deal because of how long Matt Raub stayed on the staff after she had expressed how badly she was treated multiple times. I do, however, really hope that Smosh can make amends and offer her a fair deal now that Anthony is back and management has changed. I’d also love to see a series of interviews on Anthony’s channel with ex-Smosh cast members. It could be fascinating.

Honestly, Smosh Pit has some way funnier stuff and some of the roasts have legit "I can't believe they just said that to a coworker" energy, Garrett's roast comes to mind, but I understand that there's probably thousands of hours of content on that channel now and it's not easy to find the cream of the crop, which is a shame, because they really nail it sometimes.

I am a huge pit/games fan and have been for nearly 9 years now. They definitely "grew up" with their audience a bit but they have been funnier than smosh main for a very long time. I think the issue with reacting to them is because they have been around so long and posting nearly all that time they have a HUGE library of content so it's hard to pick the best ones. Personally, I would've shown Damien Haas' Funeral Roast, the America's Next Top Simp video over Eat it or Yeet it, a smosh dark humor compilation or just an older compilation for TNTL (but honestly the one included was pretty good as well- it just missed some of the classic bangers like Damien's Princess Diana joke). If they wanted to include Smosh and Order I probably would've chosen the People vs Shayne Topp one or maybe the CFM one (though that one's more loud) or I would've shown a video from Smosh Pit Theater instead (Courtney Diary or AIM chat messages). I also think showing the "Personal News" segments from Smosh Pit Weekly would have been a hidden gem. But yeah all in all it's very hard to extract the best bits from a channel with such an enormous content library so props for that. Fun reaction and I'm glad to see the extended smosh cast get more recognition as they I feel they have been genuinely funnier than the main channel for eons now.

It's an absolute content farm, but it's a damn good one! I know many people see the scheduled content, high production, cheesy intros and immediately go corporate -> bad, but they're genuinely funny people, so I'm glad to see newcomers give them a chance. They make so much content that, obviously, some of it will miss. Even when it does miss, they've cultivated a very nice atmosphere (in the past few years especially) that feels like they're just hanging out, having fun. They'll have format concepts sometimes that have me feeling like I'm watching a daytime television cringe compilation, but they manage to make it work, and it is astounding to me. It's one of very few channels I've watched consistently for years.

There is a demographic of like 18-25 year olds specifically who just like grew up with these people. Like I started watching their content when I was a 12 year old, and now I’m a 21 year old who still finds them very funny. In contrast I was never a huge Ian and Anthony/Smosh main fan. Smosh in general has a really varied age group as well I think, they definitely have a lot of older fans since they’ve been doing this for 15+ years

I've always preferred the improv style of video Smosh Pit provided over the sketch comedy of the main channel. I don't know how popular of an opinion this is, but I hope a lot of people can agree. The reason Smosh and Order was on the Smosh Games channel is because back then Smosh, Smosh Games and Smosh Pit were kept almost entirely separate so whatever show they did stayed on their channel regardless of what type of show it was. Once Defy went under they mixed the casts for all the shows.

Their Smosh Games imo is just as funny cause it combines their improv skills with board games. Off the top of my head the funniest ones I can think of is "Too Many Shreks" where they all try to do an impression of Shrek while playing Scrabble, "Too Many Marios" where they're all Mario, and their Moose Master series. I think Smosh is the funniest it's ever been, the main channel skits weren't hitting for me but Pit and Games were hilarious post-Anthony, and now it seems like they have a formula that works now for all their channels including the main one.

I'm so glad I liked/knew smosh only for the pokemon and power ranger and etc vids back in the day and didn't really jump back into them until Post-Defy. I got really back into their content right around start of covid when they started becoming their best imo. Less of the "Every _ ever" BS and more Pit. This era that was dived into in this vid is PEAK smosh and they are killing it. Smosh Pit is easily one of the best channels on KZbin right now and they really deserve so many more views and so much more love.

I remember Smosh and Order was during the Defy era where the hosts of Games more or less stay on that channel and rarely guest in Pit and the main channel. Since the idea was made by a Games host it was placed there.

I remember being there as the smosh crew evolved. I was never really a smosh pit fan, but I dont even think that existed back then - Smosh games still had non gaming stuff with the same cast. More recently, I have watched many of the try not to laughs and it was nice to see those that are still there.

I watched Smosh back in the day. Fell off right before they sold the company, and didn’t see anything on them until TNTL. The cast is phenomenal. Can’t discredit them at all, they are great.
