How do some people stay fit (seemingly without effort)? More importantly, is there anything we can learn from this that benefits us? I talk about the role of genetics, lifestyle, and exercise intensity! We all have talents and we can learn to leverage them to our benefit. When someone is talented and works hard, we can be inspired by what they've accomplished - especially when it pushes the boundaries of what we thought was possible! I believe that people questioned the possibility of a 400lb bench press in the early 20th century. Then a 500lb one. Nowadays, it seems like many fit people can do them with training (though they're still very impressive). Lifestyle also plays a massive role in our fitness. Not everyone wants to optimize their eating and sleep patterns, but they definitely help for many fitness goals. Just something to consider. And finally, some people just have an optimized and consistent exercise routine. You don't always hear about them in the gym, but they get their workouts completed in 20-30 intense minutes. This is enough to make consistent progress for many people! The previous two factors also play a role here. There are many other factors, but these come to mind when people ask me about this. Free fitness routine, free fitness app, and a full fitness book linked on my profile. Or you can just search "Hybrid Calisthenics" + Routine, App, or Book. Most of the stuff pops up on Google. Have a wonderful day!

I'll also add before people drove, they walked. Not to say us reducing how much physical labor is *required* to survive is a bad thing in itself, but the way our societies have developed many of us have only substituted mandatory physical labor with mandatory mental and emotional labors. On top of these most of us take cars into that place of work, and barely physically assert anything at all unless our job requires something, or we have to run up a flight of stairs or something. Not to mention that commute itself can even be another added stressor. We're just stuck piloting a metal box around countless others also forced into piloting metal boxes and having to literally just sit there and deal with the stress of others bad metal box piloting skills until we get into work. Where we then spend most of the day sitting or standing just dealing with whatever stress comes our way. You can't get anymore polar opposite to what environment we evolved in for hundreds of thousands of years, for both the better *and* the worse, and thanks to this polar opposite arrangement it seems we have to go out of our ways in our free time, however much of it we're even allowed, to correct for the worse. It's really no wonder we have crises of obesity and seemingly ever worsening mental health

In my experience (and according to a pretty broad body of scientific research), just hitting the recommended fiber target of 30-40g will produce natural portion control, lower fat percentage, and lower rhr. The things you need incorporate in your diet (pulses, whole grains, greens, and fruits) to do this will take care of most deficiencies in the American diet and most are not expensive (they just require changes to your gut microbiome). Most people get 15 grams of fiber, though.

@peacelove74372 ай бұрын
That’s mostly cardio so it makes since that you have to lift also to build muscle.
@kohlraedirectionerАй бұрын
@@peacelove7437how much muscle you engage by digging really depends entirely on the state of the soil. If it's too dry, you have to really push to get your shovel in, and if it's too wet, it's heavier to lift the same shovelful, and can cake up on your shoes, making your feet heavier, too. I highly doubt there were optimal digging conditions every time this person was working. Your shoulders and biceps get a pretty strong workout from digging in less than optimal conditions, and sometimes, if it's too dry, I use my legs, too, to kick the shovel deeper. Some people are just genetically predisposed to retain fat in aesthetically displeasing areas of their body (totally subjective), and for people who aren't genetically predisposed to carry fat in a way they find aesthetically attractive, or to carry an amount of fat that is unhealthy to them, getting to a place where they are a healthy weight and/or find themselves aesthetically attractive is a hard journey, and involves so much more than just exercise --- getting the right nutrition, hydrating well, and sleeping enough are all factors.

🤣🤣 your videos are the BEST bro!! Run 20 mi/ wk, lift weights whenever I can (the major lifts squats/deadlift/bench) , do some BASIC calisthenics work (air squats , push ups, (assisted) pull ups, sit-ups) using rep schemes which will sustain a higher heart rate for a few mins a couple times a week. To answer your question. Really really envious of the pistol squatters out there such as yourself! That kinda stuff has always been SUPER tough for me. And I have tendency to just go with what I already CAN do than invest lots of time acquiring a newer skill, being 42. Although single leg stuff would def be worth it. Should work on some progressions! 😩
