Sometimes we put too much emphasis on sex and sexual connection and not enough on building community. Building family and real bonds is important and the rest comes as it was meant to.

For four years now, and really even longer than that (my last "relationship" was more than 10 years ago), I've been trying to convince myself that I'm fine being single and alone. The reality is that I'm not (even though the isolation has kept me from getting COVID so far). Trying to kick myself in the butt and resume living my life is a daily struggle, especially since I'm also not the stereotypical gay man.
