How Sony is BLOCKING Marvel's plan for Spider-Man in the MCU!

I just wanted to breakdown a couple of reasons why Sony is blocking plans for Spiderman causing the delay of the production of Spiderman 4.

Yeah it's the agreement they have. Not sure how long Sony has the rights but I think if everything was available to the MCU, we could get some very interesting movies.

I really enjoyed the animated Spiderman movies! Cant wait for part 3. But as far as the other movies, I just dont like Dakota Johnson and that is the jump off where I think they went wrong with madam web. But i liked Venom. Tbh id still go watch Sony's Movies just to come to my own conclusion. But when it comes to sharing characters I think it should be shared and then the audience decides who did it best. IMHO.😊 😊😊😊

This is so stupid . Also what about variants ??. If sony uses otto mcu can use olivia. Similarly mcu can use another host for venom instead of eddie. Right ?

I'm sure there are legal parameters that could stop usage if they can prove the similarities but that's just a guess. Maybe they could get away with a variant of Venom or another symbiote. If Sony was smart they'd allow Marvel to use Venom and collect a nice fat pay check.

I think kingpin would be perfect for Spider-Man and that would allow Daredevil to come back as a cameo. Juggernaut is going to be an interesting one, I would like to see that interaction with him and Spider-Man. I think when the mutants do come, they're definitely going to have their share of villains before we see heroes.

If Sony is interfering with the MCU's plan for Spiderman, then I couldn't be happier. It means Kevin Feige can't mess up Marvel Comics best character in the same way he's messed up Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther and Captain America. What a shite show!

I think the 1st and 3rd Spider-Man projects were good. The first Doctor Strange and Black Panther films were good. C.A.W.S was nice but I see your point. Marvel has put out a fair amount of good movies as well as some duds. Solid directors and quality over quantity has me confident Kevin won't ruin Spidy ultimately.

So is it in better hands with the studio that produced Morbius and Madame Web? Please. It's currently mainstream to hate on Marvel and pretend that everything they produce is garbage, but that's not objectively honest. The MCU has some bad movies, but it has had many more good or great movies throughout its run. Meanwhile, Sony hasn't had any "great" live-action superhero movie since Spider-Man 2, 20 years ago. Since then, the most they've been able to reach is ""decent", but they mostly range in the "regular" or "bad" area, and they have also had some of the most astoundingly terrible movies in history, sinking much lower than Marvel has ever done. They also already tanked the Spider-Man franchise twice, which is the reason they made that deal with the MCU. Sony will never make a great movie like No Way Home on its own. That movie turned out great due to Marvel's involvement. Remove Marvel from the equation and you get something like Let There Be Carnage, released that same year. Would you really rather see Holland's Spider-Man in films like that than in the MCU? Make no mistake: the people behind the Spider-Verse films don't work on the live-action films. They're entirely different divisions. Live-action Sony is currently a dumpster, and they're only ruining Spider-Man and his villains, not helping them in the slightest.

Oh please. None of those characters have been messed with by him. And he's done great work with Spider-Man so far in the MCU. And sony is the worst choice to give those rights to. Go back to watching Madame Web kid.
