Your best video so far, it's incredibly based, deep and nuanced, which in a way would be kinda unusual considering most of your videos are reviews to animations, but it's a very welcome surprise in a different direction. I really hope more people see it, and I know I have very little influence, but I'll be sharing this video in my discord servers and on Twitter, because I'm surprise at how far and deep you went to the topic of censorship. I agree with everything you said, censorship really is here to fight against freedom of speech and some people just don't get it, the two episodes became real and people didn't even listen. All the soulless Disney movies we have nowadays reflects on these two episodes, everything just happened exactly as they told us. My next topic will be very controversial, so in a way this video helped me go further. Really hope you get more subs from this video alone.

Thank you for the kind words, my main audience doesn't seem to care, but this video took ages and ages, way more than most of my other videos. It always seems to be my luck on KZbin that the videos I put less effort in get more views. Back to the drawing board.

I buy my video games from Japan because of the over censored US releases I can domestically purchase… that being said, I don't have any problem with the creation of the ESRB or the MPAA, what I DO have an issue with is parents and others not taking their responsibility for their own children having a game or movie that's above their age and STILL blaming the product THE PARENTS BOUGHT!!

A lot of media that gets censored isn't offensive, the people saying that are just egotistical to the point where their opinion should be taken as fact.

Censorship is not always a bad thing at all.... but it NEEDS to be wielded only in extreme cases and with the greatest of integrity, and careful sensitivity, not in a drastic or draconian way. It's also preferable to do so with a light touch, but provide people with a means of having the unaltered original too, also labeled and explained with grounded context as well. Censorship very occasionally and in rare instances does have it's place, but it needs to be applied with common sense and mindfulness to still appease both sides of an issue.

Uhh.... The Simpsons was never written by Matt Groening after the Tracy Ulman shorts, he was always just a consultant on it that always oversaw a revolving door of writers even during it's golden age, and it's change in writers had nothing to do with it's decline. Also South Park has been accused by many people of having gone downhill creatively after a certain point as well. None of it's last 4 years on tv have been particularly well received by it's former fans. So that little crack of yours at 13:13 is absolutely wrong and has no merit at all. You absolutely screwed up on making that point.
@FirstClassJunk2 ай бұрын
So for the first point you are wrong, he wrote/co-wrote the odd episode until Season seven which is years after the Tracy Ulman Show. But I will admit my misuse of words, I meant to say the original writers changed. Do you honestly thing the change in writers had *nothing* to do with The Simpsons decline? Like at all? Are you being serious? What caused the shows decline then? The quality of writing mainly made the original Simpsons great in my opinion. You can't say I'm wrong because of an opinion. I've been a fan of south park for about twelve years now, and while I do admit the original episodes were better, the past four years have still been good. *"None of it's last 4 years on tv have been particularly well received by it's former fans"* - Dude, what are you talking about? Look at the IMDB episode ratings and other review sites. Out of the 14 episodes released in the past four years, 12 of them have at least a 7/10 on IMDB, meaning that the majority are still good. I'm talking about consistency here, not the best episodes of all time. Granted, some of the older seasons had a 9.0 or above sprinkled in there, but from it's whole run the 9.0 rating or above is few and far between, most South Park ratings range from 7 - 8.5 ish which is still what the ratings are now! Also, me and a lot of my friends are long term South Park fans, and we all like most of the new episodes. That entire point you made there just makes no sense lol. For my money, I didn't screw up at all on the South Park point. Many "former fans" still like it. Also, how did I miss the entire point of the Itchy and Scratchy and Marge episode? You deleted that comment before I could even see it lol.
