It took years of constant research, analysis, and pin-point platforming on invisible obstacles to reach this level of progress. So what's the next logical discovery to make? How to yeet Jak into the fucking sun at mach 10 by getting too close to a bridge that's having a nervous breakdown!

Speedrunning is psychologically a very insular community. This is why it can be so toxic when someone goes against the grain (see: Narcissa Wright for example), but also very wholesome and supportive with its own in-group. A new perspective, fresh and outside the box, is often needed. TL;DR: speedrunning communities are a bubble/circlejerk.

@gulfgiggleanimations44724 жыл бұрын
It’s really gratifying to me that these skips are actually possible because as a kid I threw Jak into the lava of fire canyon dozens of times trying to cheese my way with some sort of completely theoretical infinite damage boost, and for the skip to be exactly that is amazing to me. I correctly theorized an actual speedrun skip as an 8 year old. I also tried to find the other skips mentioned, though I was as unsuccessful as the majority of the community in those cases too.
@gulfgiggleanimations44724 жыл бұрын
@@skrtreynolds Good point. Makes me wonder what kind of skips people never really looked for. The only thing that comes to mind is when you discover the skip by sheer accident.
