It took years of constant research, analysis, and pin-point platforming on invisible obstacles to reach this level of progress. So what's the next logical discovery to make? How to yeet Jak into the fucking sun at mach 10 by getting too close to a bridge that's having a nervous breakdown!

Speedrunning is psychologically a very insular community. This is why it can be so toxic when someone goes against the grain (see: Narcissa Wright for example), but also very wholesome and supportive with its own in-group. A new perspective, fresh and outside the box, is often needed. TL;DR: speedrunning communities are a bubble/circlejerk.

I truely love the way you format your videos. You could simply make your videos a short story with the end result explained. But I really appreciate and think it is super neat how you explain what the mission or goal is of the game skip, who has attempted it, how the communities react to the results, how you go into the history and accomplishments of the person who discover the skip, and I really enjoy how you add a suspense factor that just keeps me tuned in the whole time. Thanks for awesome videos man! :D

Way back in the day, when we first learned about the glitch in Kingdom Hearts 1 at the final boss Destiny Islands where you can infinite jump out of bounds, my sister and I had a bit of a gag that doing things like that 'angered the video game gods' - and we feared them. But seeing stuff like this today, it is clear: The Glitch Hunters are the true gods of video games, and whatever planar beings my sister and I believed in as children would *COWER* in their presence.

As someone that likes seeing glitches but is not good at finding/using any it always blows my mind seeing the sorts of things people find. It’s really gratifying to me that these skips are actually possible because as a kid I threw Jak into the lava of fire canyon dozens of times trying to cheese my way with some sort of completely theoretical infinite damage boost, and for the skip to be exactly that is amazing to me. I correctly theorized an actual speedrun skip as an 8 year old. I also tried to find the other skips mentioned, though I was as unsuccessful as the majority of the community in those cases too.

Honestly if the future of Jak speedrunning is Jak walking 1 frame at a time to a bridge doing a source film maker meme only to be catapulted into the void at mach 1 and somehow just pop back into existence in citadel, im there for it.

Every time you introduce a new trick, it's almost always a new face, and the exact same reaction occurs. "Oh, I bet it's Ricky- who the hell is tha- OH DAMN THAT'S COOL"

This video was absolutely brilliant! This is certainly a great Christmas present to the community. Two theoretical skips to discover then the game could be beaten with 0 Power Cells. This game is a Collectathon, right?

Surprise.MP4 is to Jak 1 as Silence's 32:47 was to RaC 3. Insane that a MP4 literally warped Jak 1 so hard that its 10's of minutes faster now
