Glitches should always be valid when speed running Imho because most, if not all require significant skill to pull off. I tried speed running a few years back because i love gaming and play games i really like to death but and I quickly found I didn't have the skill or patience needed to pull off the tricky glitches required to put me anywhere near a leader board, que sera sera. Still love watching them though

I'm actually one of the few people out there who prefer glitchless speed runs. They're harder to accomplish and more satisfying to watch than "the sprite then walks through the wall and theres the end of the level. Now this is just my opinion, but I believe that circumventing a level is just a boring way to play a game. Don't get me wrong, seeing glitches is still cool as hell and I enjoy seeing how a game can be broken.

its really impressive just how right they got everything in the first game.. the gameplay.. story.. Kratos of course... besides the Ares fights in the end they really knocked it out of the park. i can still remember sharing lives while me and my friend beat this game. what fun!

I remember getting this game when I was a kid and smashing it first try. It made me cry every time I tried playing it after that and still think I used a lifetimes worth of luck on accident that first play.

Funny thing. I discovered helmed proxy in 2002 when i was 7 y old. On that time i was playing spyro 8h per Day. though it was Just some glitch, cuz i had pirate version of them game. Wich didnt allowed me finish game 100% I always had to start from the beginning

Wow, I'm so used to these speedrun history videos COMOLETELY breaking the game, skipping different amounts of the game. But this game is "this glitch saves 2 seconds... and then Gnist applied this to his run and lowered the record by 1 minute, just by optimizing his run." DAMN. The only real skips are cutscene skips, and it's pretty rare. Suckerpunch put together a SOLID game.
