Scientists in the university of Stockholm found out that the ovar lays out chemical traces which effect some sperms to find the ovar and others not... So in some way the ovary selects and filters the sperms to be better matching with the genetic codes so that they are different enough...

I'm a woman and naturally received some cursory information about male reproduction in school, although most of it came in the form of my own education as an adult, but this is so fascinating to me and it's great to hear about the male side of things in such a purely anatomical way. Also slightly terrifying to think about millions upon millions of sperm being released in a single ejaculation.

I have similar experience as a woman, most of my knowledge came from my own research as an adult. What really intrigues me tho is that technically all these sperm cells could become humans, but I am wondering if they are actually all of the same good quality which would make them all develop into equally healthy human beings.
@Raymart65433 жыл бұрын
@Ch4rLz tHa PrInCe Read it somewhere and I can't seem to recall but it says there's no race. Its just a matter of opportunity if the sperm cell was selected by the egg cell to be fertilized by it.

Thank you for this explanation. I never understood where the spermatic cord was located. My son was 5 when he started having severe pains in his groin area. The doctor thought he might have a hernia but it turned out he had a problem with one spermatic cord. There was a large mass of twisted veins around the cord. They were able to fix it but I always worried he would be infertile. Happy to say, he does have a son!
