That is a major problem for Shilajit consumers - high temperature processing. It's boiled means the temp is more than 100 C . Yes, it is original and authentic but..... "empty" of all goodness. There's a place called Kalroos in Kupwara district of J&K, a local tale is that the cave gets it name for having a tunnel directly connected to Russia/Russian Kingdom and in the past, people used to use this tunnel. I tried some REALLY potent Shilajit in Nepal (that's where you get the best quality, in the eastern Himalayas). Don't know about it being an Aphrodisiac but it definitely tasted like absolute horsecart wheel grease or something similar. Apparently if you use it long enough, it can offer long term benefits for your libido but it's just a kerogen so I have my doubts about that. That being said, Ayurveda is a wonderful world of possibilities and should definitely not be looked down upon because of snake oil like this.

While I admire the Manohars work despite the huge risk, I wish this report contested the claims of the "physician & ayurvedic practitioner" more than just one sentence that "research on shilajit is limited".
