It’s good to hear success stories. When i am anxious, it is just like a constant whoosh. I think i acclimated to the sound because I thought there was nothing that could be done. I have tried to volunteer for different medical trials however, i never qualify because i have too many comorbid issues and researchers need to know if the medication was helpful. I have gone through CBT and DBT and i do have some tools to help me. I wish my tinnitus wasn’t so loud at night so i can more than 3 hours of sleep each night.

Ill never say a bad thing about anyone trying to help with tinnitus, regardless of the method. Mine is crickets, sitting outside at night as often as possible makes tinnitus just disappear for me in the chirping and tone. relief lasts almost all night afterwards. All the best!

Thank you for this video. I am using the sound oasis to generate rain sounds as I watched this. I am 68 and have slowly come to the acceptance that it is not going to get better. The thing that really got/gets to me is not knowing if a sound is my tinnitus or a real sound. Acceptance I think is the way to go for many people but not easy. I am still trying. ATB.

My tinnitus started with a high pitch sound and loud. I felt like I was going to go crazy having a constant sound 24 seven in your head and it was hard to sleep. I went to a chiropractor that had a laser treatment machine. He treated my tinnitus four a number of months off and on. I would say from a scale of 1 to 10 my tinnitus was a nine and now it is a 3. I feel more alive now that the sound is low and more easy to tune out. This treatment was about three years ago and I am still good. This was such a help and a blessing now I don’t feel like I’m about ready to go crazy anymore.

What type of laser treatment did your chiropractor do?
@user-dn8bs6jh2y Жыл бұрын
@@jenniferlaw1268 Hi, I don’t know what kind of laser it was but it was a machine that he paid $10,000 for. It is a very safe laser that can be used on a number of conditions like pain and sinus problems. If you like after the holiday I can call and ask him for that information and I will post it for you.

Dr Thompson how effective is Eagles Syndrome surgery for noise in your head as well as headaches? I have internal jugular vein compression. I’m trying to figure out what is causing my tinnitus before I make the decision to have surgery?

Can you be a bit more clear on what the scores were with what you refer to as 'more bothersome tinnitus' vs 'mild tinnitus' on the TFI? Also, are you recommending some patients wear BTE sound generators at night?

junie: When I saw the neurologist and had the MRI done, that was one important ? he asked me. I think that is something very different than plain ole tinnitus. It might have something to do with your heart. If you can, try to see a cardiologist. The neurologist told me its the synapses in the brain are misfiring, causing the CONSTANT tone.
