I remember when Jackass first appeared on TV, I was finishing school. Being barely 12 back then, I just couldn´t believe the stuff those guys were willing to do just for the sake of entertainment, and Steve O was by far the one who did some of the gnarliest shit my eyes have witnessed to this day. So, having that in mind, It´s reasonable to say he was the one anyone could say would end up getting fucked up to death. But now he got his shit together, and that´s truly remarkable. If he managed to reach sobriety, anybody can. Also, huge kudos to Knoxville for having the initiative to get Steve O´s ass inside that psychiatric ward. Speaks lots of him. There is nothing sadder than a senior druggie/alcoholic. Appreciate the fun you had and MOVE on with a healthy lifestyle. If you continue using after the honeymoon period you're chasing a lie.

I had no clue he has 11 years clean. That’s great. I’m coming up on one year in less than a month. I basically used some sort of substance daily for 30 years. Went to work everyday, held a job for 25 plus years. Finally hit rock BOTTOM. While I was using daily those 30 plus years, the last 10 months of using I went through close to 100k. I certainly don’t have Steve O money. But entered treatment & I attend a few meetings a week. I totally disappeared from the crew I ran with, changed the cell # etc. For me personally, it’s 95% mental, you have got to wanna do it.
