I've battled drinking from the age of 25 to 45 because I found myself living for the weekends and not happy with my choice of work carrier. I would drink through the week to cope with life and binge drink with friends on weekends when possible. At 45 I emotionally knew I was failing in life by my choices and actions from alcohol. At 47 I found my passion for the outdoors to be more true to myself, so I started a tube channel for fishing and camping. I am happy to say that I found myself before loosing everything I had embracing me like my wife and kids to the true friends that were not abusers. I can stay sober for weeks now and choose when and how much I want to drink if I choose to with friends. Life really begins when you understand!

I can’t even imagine dealing with crowds of people noticing you everywhere you go. I saw Zach at a bar in Hollywood back in 2005 right before he got really big fandom with the hangover. Only me and one other friend even knew who he was from out cold, but we just let him be. He was literally at the bar drinking a beer by himself and not a single person came up to him the whole time we were there. I’ll bet Zach misses those days when he could be at a restaurant or bar and no one bothers him.

He's one of those people who was simply just born to do comedy. It's so effortless seeming to him that I think it's just his actual, natural personality. I got a pretty funny little story actually. I wasn't there but my neighbors were all hanging out, I live in a very touristy area and a lot of movies are filmed around here but it's not California/Hollywood, and at the time he was filming "The Campaign" with Will Ferrell. Anyway, my neighbor is very open to the tourists and passers-by and her front door is basically always unlocked if not outright open and there's almost always a party going down when she's in town. Anyway, one night none other than Zach Galifianakis shows up, walks in and just wants to kind of see what is going on at this open house gathering. He's talking to my neighbor for like maybe 20-30 minutes or so, and finally he asks "Where is the best bar around here?" because in this same area there is basically nothing but bars and clubs and restaurants. She recommends one to him, he says thanks and goes on his merry way. As he's leaving, my neighbor's daughter is like "Don't you even know who that was?" and she said "No, who is he?" and then her daughter tells her "Dude, that's Zach Galifianakis! He's a pretty famous comedian!" and my neighbor immediately shuffles outside and is like "ZACH! Zach, come back here for a second!" and he does. She says "Are you famous?" and he says "Well, I thought I was"

The best reason to quit drinking is to just stop drinking. I did it and havent looked back. What a difference it makes to not willfully use one of worst poisons to the human body.

Conan can always joust with the best comedians, and he does it very well. He always can give them time to tell a story, and has no problem being the straight man. Everything about this was hilarious. Conan always will be my favorite.
