A close friend of mine who is a well known character actor told me this story about working with SS on one of his mainstream movies: "Doe" was in his trailer when Seagal comes knocking-- "he was trying to find the words to convince me that I should seriously take his acting advice" Seagal-- "Doe, do you love your father?" Doe-- "Yes I do". SS-- (dramatic pause with kooky self serious look of total knowledge) "Doe.....I am your FATHER." My friend said he was easily one of the weirdest people he had ever met. The connections you made in this video were interesting and presented well, thank you. Seagal is just a bully who's never been challenged. George Foreman issued that challenge a few years ago: he would fight Seagal using boxing gloves and Seagal could fight with no gloves and use kicking, etc. When asked "why the challenge", George replied-- "TO SHUT HIM UP." Seagal's response-- move to Russia and become a citizen.

Segal got high on himself, thinking he was the people he played in the movies. The more power the film characters had, the more he thought "I can do this, my power is just as great". I think he started seeing himself as a powerful mafia/hero when he was at the peak of his career. It has also happened to others, but they have managed to come out of the illusion they have had about themselves. I think his problem lies there, it is said that if you lie long enough you will believe it yourself in the end.

You know what I think separate Steven Seagal from other action Stars is that I can honestly say I never got the impression that Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone ever believed that they were the characters that they played. It was like they never forgot that they were movie stars and actors. But I think Steven Seagal had a blurred line in his mind between his movies and who he was in real life. I think he wanted to be as cool as a cook who saves everybody from terrorists in real life and he forgot that that was all make believe. Sylvester Stallone wouldn't have made it very far if he tried to be Rambo in real life all the time. The only person who's an action star in real life is Chuck Norris. I once read that when Chuck Norris lifts weights, the weights get in shape....

Hollywood´s years of control, domination and stress are causing him and other actors to go insane. This has to stop. One way for this to stop is if we stop making too high demands on them. Steven Seagal was an overnight sensation after he made Above the Law and his career shot thru the roof in just the few following years up to Under Siege. I think Warner Bros was grooming him to be the next Clint Eastwood but he also butted heads with some of the top brass there, plus his notorious reputation with women and dubious past took it all downhill as quickly as he rose. There was also a lot of hypocrisy in his on and offscreen persona that are vastly contradictory. I remember him beating up a pimp for slapping a woman in his movie Out for Justice, but what does he do in real life??

I used to follow his movies in the 90's and watched how he disrespected his own body. This doesn't add up to someone who has been trained the way he claimed. Then listening to him say delusional things on camera looking serious about the content was a turn off. In his movies in the 90's his martial arts style was direct and effective similar to the style I studied for many years so it looked legit. However, he might have been rehearse and coached for most of his scenes. As large man it wouldn't be hard to make it look effective. Later his claims of CIA work, which I know more than a few real ones don't publicly even hint at that work. Even in private never tell even friends of any of it, period. So I knew he was fake. I haven't watched any of his movies in decades. His fat over weight cop work is obscene and fake reality show.
