For me it was better than most of the xianzhou main story, when i think about it imo almost every xianzhou companion quest was on the level of the main story if not better, the arc itself just feels "incomplete" without them (and still feels tbh but the recent add closed alot of questions)

Aetherium wars is probably the best event so far (not counting swarm that was more of a core addition). The builds and synergys between the characters is really fun to explore and it's almost like startinf star rail again on a way smaller scale ofc.

They put a lot of effort into this one (and I feel like the devs really enjoyed themselves making it). They even resisted slow rolling the event, despite designing it to be long enough to actually take several days and having clear partitions to time gate the next part. I have a lot of respect for it and I'd be excited for a sequel/expansion to it in one or two planets' time.

@@Emorality imo pvp in gacha tends to always be a bad idea ESPECIALLY LIVE PvP, not the idle ones like Nikke and other games. PvP leads to immense powercreep look at FEH and DBL, they are powercrept to oblivion due to how PvP oriented their games are.

Yknow, ive yet to see anyone run Tingyun with Jingliu. With careful planning on Ting's Ult, you can get 2 Ults during Jingliu's damage phase. And it frees up Bronya for the second team

My guess on why SP feels off is because JL isn’t truly SP neutral, as she needs to use 1-2 SP to get into that state to begin with. After that she isn’t generating any SP and neither is Blade, so your only SP positive character is Bailu while Bronya is SP negative. Eventually you just run out of SP as Bailu can’t keep up with both Bronya and Jinglui once Jinglui exits her buff state, can also toss in the fact Blade will need at least 1 every 4 turns. It just comes down to how vaguely SP neutral is used as a term, when in reality to be SP neutral you need to generate as much SP as you’re using. If Jinglui isn’t generating SP and relying on someone else to do it for her, then she’s not SP neutral, which is why I’m this team Pela is better because Pela and Bailu are both positive.

True, I've been using blade jingliu loucha and e1 bronya and this is slightly better with the skill points. At some points you gotta take a turn just to build some skill points back up but that's really it. I still love the synergy.

@@D.U.D.E- It's not bad, my Bronya is cracked so I feel it way less but moving off her LC and if I didn't have her e1 I would definitely feel it being worse overall. Hyperspeed Bronya would take better advantage of it if she can use her basic to move her forward then start the rotation, but it might still be a bit rough on some turns.

Bailu is a good solo sustain because of invigoration buff (take 10% less dmg and heal back when got hit), sadly she doesn't have any way to cleanse cc from team.

Tbh honest she'd be broken with cleanse. She has some highest healing out put in game. Burst heal. Dmg reduction. Revive on death. Max hp. People complain about power creep in honkai all the time but this is what a balanced unit looks like. They can't do everything

the reason why everyone else but jingliu is getting advanced forward is because of the blessing that lets the characters borrow part of the atk of the previous attacking character so basically blade's normal attack stats + borrowed stats from jingliu gives him more attack. that's the reason why i never pick that blessing 😭

Yeah it seems like while the dual carry jing liu + blade idea works, standard hypercarry jing liu is still gonna be stronger overall. Even if it was stronger, most people probably aren't so loaded with dps characters that they can stack 2 of the strongest limited destruction characters on one side of moc, I think someone with both blade and jing liu will get a lot more mileage out of splitting them up to hypercarry both sides of moc for instance. Still, it's more cohesive than most dual carry teams, so it could see use in draft races, where supports are more limited due to high demand. Also, I would love to see some aetherium wars gameplay on the channel, just messing around in that gamemode is a ton of fun. I don't know if playthrough style content is up your alley, but I'd be down to watch it as well. You could stream the new trailblaze continuance mission/companion mission on twitch and then upload an edited down version to youtube, I think that could be a lot of fun.

basically any unit that have hp scaling in their kit is good with JL. the more hp they have, the more hp JL takes, and the more hp she takes, the higher the atk increase. i have both Blade and JL, but without Luocha, the only one who could properly counteract JL' hp drain, its quite risky running them both at the same time outside SU.

Personally i only use Blade Jingliu on the overworld. I tried some 0-cycle runs yesterday and Jingliu with Tingyun and Pela clears first half in 0 cycles more consistently than double dps. Naturally, this is also because the first half lady is wind-resistant, which gimps blade's damage significantly.

It caught my eye and I remembered you got into star rail after genshin as well ❤ Would you recommend trying to pull her c0 as a beginner? I don't have any good cryos, just Herta and March and I don't like using them. I pulled Bailu off standard if that makes things better.

Well although it's true that she's an amazing character I'd suggest getting her after you receive Natasha (you will get her from the story Mission itself) because Jing Liu consumes the HP of her teammates. But yes, once you get her and build her perfectly you're pretty much gonna destroy everything. And when I say destroy, I really mean it. For best results have a shielder (fire trailblazer works too, you'll get him from the story), support/defense reducing units (Asta will do for now, but using a stronger support would be better. Or you could use Pela if you have her), a healer (Natasha will do) along with her.

For a dual carry? it's quite hard to manage SP, depends on what supports you'll use. IMO an e1 FX and Pela would be the greatest pair for these 2 SP Neutral carries. Aslo the variables varies if blade is built w/ salsotto for more concentrated dmg on follow-up atk + ult than basics. Great demo + insights on this video. Keep up the great work! #HanabiWaitingRoom

Man, now I'm lost I planned on getting Topaz so I can get more use of my Clara and Blade. I thought she would be a perfect sup-dps for them (especially Clara), or even as main dps against fire weakness enemies like I really need ice/fire dmg dealer... But seeing that Jingliu works well with Blade made me so excited cause I love his gameplay a lot, yet I don't have good teams for him... What should I do? (I don't have Bronya or Bailu tho)

you definitely can't go wrong with jingliu but topaz is also most likely a good option - i would just pick whoever you would enjoy most jingliu will have less synergies whereas topaz seems to be one of those role type characters like kafka with lots of value

I dont run Blade with Jingliu although sometimes I think it might be good idea but it felt like it's an overkill, and most of the time it's not comfortable. Also, I use the Jingliu Quantum set build running alongside Silverwolf, Pela & Fuxuan/Lynx and I found out its the most comfortable and versatile teamcomp for Jingliu since. I don't have Luocha, if I might I think it'll solved my SP issue of bringing 2 dps, that either SP negative or SP neutral (blade is SP neutral, Jingliu slightly below SP neutral but not negative). Thing about Blade is that the last slot for ally is always confusing, already bring a healer & Bronya, but I still lack on debuffer or harmony that isn't ATK based buff.

honestly, i think hyper carry jing is much better than duo dps jing and blade seeing the numbers. jing with bronya is doing ~ 200k per skill which is like both jing and blade damage combined, i guess the hp drain might be a slight problem for some though.

Wanted Jingliu for Blade's team: Blade/Lynx/Bronya/Jingliu* but lost the 50/50 and pulled for FX last banner so probably won't be able to get her. So Team 1 I guess will be: Blade/Lynx/Bronya/Pela Team 2: FX/DHIL/Yukong/Tingyun Yukong E0 is so annoying to use though, think HuoHuo might be a good call to replace Yukong maybe? My FX keeps dying in MoC 9 first wave with Team 2. I haven't farmed relics yet though. Just did my first run, got to TB65 just the other day.

For me the jingliu+blade combo is better and more fun than hypercarry but i wont be using it in moc for the time being until i get/build good enough dps except jingliu and blade

Have u tested jingliu, tingyun, jingyuan, sustain team yet? Surprisingly it works. Since jingliu self buff is way too high it's like having 2 tingyun. One buff jingliu and one buff jingyuan. The team comp is kinda funny but still works. This team comp took 3 cycle where my jingyuan hypercarry took 4 cycle. Also u can timed her ulti during her transform animation to proc both bronya buff+her transformation buff.

I mean there isn't really any synergy in this team. Jingliu here is basically separate from the rest of the team here doing her own damage. It's faster just because she's doing more damage than your third support in the hypercarry jing yuan team. She's a good sub dps that can fit in any team after all.

You can throw Jinglui onto any team (except Yanqing) and she will perform well in it, she’s just a strong unit to have for raw damage without needing much management. She’d be as strong with Herta as much as she is with Jingyuan, throw in Pela and Fu Xuan/Gepard and you have a really strong mono ice team that dishes out crazy aoe damage.

yeah i think it'll work with overinvestment (both units being strong and highly invested into) but there isn't much synergy unfortunately still cool to have a student and master team though!

@@artumbo This is like 3-4 days late, but I actually decided to check if her hp drain affects his buff and surprisingly it doesn't, I guess it doesn't count as him "taking DMG" like the tooltip says. Still probably not a great synergy unless you want to run 2 characters that can effectively ignore building a ton of crit rate, but might find some decent use in a mono ice team, though unfortunately Jingliu's HP drain goes through shields so Gepard probably can't solo sustain the team.

I’ve only lost one 50/50 since launch and got Jingliu yesterday to pair with Blade. So far I have Blade E2 & his LC, Jingliu, Bronya E1, Fu Xuan, & Seele as F2P. This game takes good care of me compared to Genshin 😭🤣. My team comps now will be Jingliu, Blade, Lynx, Bronya and second team Seele, Fu Xuan, Tingyun, and Natasha/Pela.

What if you used Lynx instead of Bailu for the Swarm Disaster fight so that Jingliu was targeted more? It might be difficult to keep the uptime, but surely it'd have drawn a couple extra hits? fair enough! bailu does have some crazy heals with that aoe heal blessing, it honestly just bumps her up a tier. the bailu finish was craaazy tho, it was like retribution for last time

I rly want jungliu, but my account is confusing the shit out of me. I'm on guarantee so it's either her or topaz...my account has both blade and clara who have different synergies with jingliu and topaz (also kafka work with topaz so less points for jingliu 😅). I also got a cracked e1 yanqing who can 2 cycle clear with loucha and i dont see enough of a gap in power to warrent benching em ...but then again my tingyun and QQ are close to e6...I'm lost 😂😂

if you really like jingliu i'd say go for her! she's guaranteed to be strong and you'll love her playstyle but if you want more diversity topaz might be a good choice as well :)

@@artumbo I count if u use SW at the same time with seele you gain 90% reduce damage on her main set for boss. The same is with Jingliu however she requirement extra lc for it. But she hasnt proper sustain to adapt her element. Unless if you use gepard but he cant healing.. So there is a risk.
