A lot of people hated on Jiren because they felt he had no real character traits except for just being 'strong'. However, I think he's an extremely interesting character because he's exactly what Goku would've become if he didn't have his friends and family and the teachings of every single one of his masters/trainers. Jiren is neither good nor evil, he's just another ordinary soul who had no choice but to keep getting stronger because to him survival was the only thing that really mattered.

Whis states he is the one who has reached that state. Perhaps even surpassed it. What does perhaps mean? It means uncertainty or possibility. Whis proceeds to say there is a universe where lives a mortal even HIS god of destruction can't defeat.

He veat mastered U.I two consecutives rounds before succumbing to exhaustion and Goku eventuallt overpowering him. Jiren is HIM. No character has a resume.this impressive.

The manga is the actual canon and shows beerus as one of the top destroyers left in a battle royale and he’s still leaps and bounds above goku and Vegeta in their ultra forms.

Because narratively and canonically broly is the strongest and Toiryama sees him as the pinnacle of power and something for goku and vegeta to surpass broly is stated by the end of the broly movie by goku that he's equal or stronger than beerus and goku's seen beerus full power in the manga in the exhibition match and arguably against champa in the anime I personally don't believe beerus was going full power but the movies are a continuation of both the anime and manga so goku has seen beerus full power either way but anyway that's why broly stomps jiren.
