People sometimes forget that Royd was 80% as powerful as Yhwach when he was fighting Yama, and yama completely nerfed him. There was a reason Yhwach was afraid to fight Yama headon but not Ichibei. For me Yama is just a tad weaker than Ichibei and a lot stronger than Aizen.

Aizen made the Arrancar to force Yamamoto to take himself out with his own flames And Ywhach stole his Bankai after notably Yamamoto weakened himself defeating his stand in (and implied to be somewhat weaker without his left arm as Ywhach asked why he didn’t have Orihime restore it after Aizen)

@@Gioeli76 when yamamoto faced aizen aizen was just a container for hogyoku not gaining anything from it . he very specifically says to isshin "the hogyoku is finally understanding me" meaning every instance before that encounter was base pre hogyoku aizen and it was only that aizen who said "facing you head on you would probably win" thats not the verbiage of someone saying "id get no diffed" and yhwach was literally a prime jugram victim when he faced bankai yamamoto . ichibei is legit canonically stronger than any version of yamamoto but yamamoto would slam every squad zero except ichibei ill give you that much

Yhwach's not character with consistent stats, as his whole schtick is giving power to his Ritters, grow that power in them, and harvesting that power back upon death. So by the time he faced Ichibei, he got some power from as nodt, mask, gremmy, can't du, BG9, pepe, to name few and auswachlen too on top of that. All of that buff yet still getting clapped by Ichibei, only outright oneshoting Ichibei after he reawakens his almighty.

Want to know something really amusing? Yamamoto's bankai is absolutely nothing compared to Rukia's bankai. In science terms, absoluter zero is the coldest you can ever get. It causes atoms to stop vibrating completely and fall apart. The opposite of Rukia is plank temperature which is so absurd it's something like 27 digits. It's so far past Yamamoto's temperature it's not even funny. That doesn't mean RUkia would win in a battle, she does not have the spiritual pressure to keep overpowering him indefinitely. But Yamamoto on the heat hierarchy is a solid 3/10. He's not even close to theoretical maximus. On the polar opposite Rukia is a 10/10 for cold.
