Fun fact: Doomguy using weapons to weaken demons before finishing them of with a glory kill is actually canon to Doom lore. Doomguy can easily tear demons with his hands but then they would be granted a quick, somewhat painless death. But Doomguy uses his weapons just for fun and to inflict more pain to the demons.

@@djw_tekken8490 Most speed powerscaling is just hollow feats of x is faster than y with no justification for characters to reach c(beating actual light isn't a c feat bc light is slower than c, perfect vacuums aren't real) let alone be FTL. Real speed feats would be actually travelling absurd distances really fast, insane output of kinetic energy and reversal of causality. And those feats are honestly quite rare, especially considering the first one often has warping of spacetime to muddle the waters. Regarding goku, it's strange bc I don't think Toriyama even knows what lightspeed is/cares at all ab his series having internal or external logic. It's entirely possible to say "hurr durr goku has infinite speed" because the setting doesn't even make sense and we shouldn't take gag mangas seriously

I think one of the creators of some of the games said in an interview once that Doomguy is supposed to be a representation of the player themselves - literally the embodiment of the gaming spirit within the actual lore of the games. It makes sense when you think about how videogames work, they may be challenging and sometimes downright discouraging but at the end of the day you are guaranteed to win because that's the whole point of the game. To put it simply, he basically has infinite plot armor by design and the lore was built around that fact, just like how the game is made for the gamer, not the other way around.

I think that when it comes to the Doom Slayer using weapons and having armor it's more something he's comfortable with then anything. after all he's a military man at his core and even the dark lord uses weapons and armor so it's possible that trait was impressed upon him as well when he became powered by Devoth's energy to beat him. sure he could kill demons in one shot but he's not ever going to do so outside of a time when he's literally going Berserk and has lost his mind cuz it doesn't feel right. basically the Berserk PowerUp just makes him become the strongest being in the multiverse without mental limits

I’d say Doomslayer is high outerversal. It’s stated in lore that there were many higher dimensions that doomslayer outright out scales. I was actually able to scale The Slayer consistently to Outerverse+. Low Complex multiverse is a bit of a lowball since the Sentinels are easily 5-6D and Urdak is easily above them, an Hell is above them, making Hell at least 7D. Though there are scans that get Hell easily into Outerversal. And he has a bunch of OP hax as well. Like fate manipulation and reality warping.

As stated by the game, "Power to match his Will" every demon he kills also powers him up further, he absorbs the argent energy from the demons getting a zenkai boost on-top of his already infinite power that matches his infinite will. The Doom Slayer is also over 3 billion years old, as stated in the game lore that he has been fighting hells legions for eons, plural. One eon is 1 billion years, meaning he's been getting a zenkai boost for at least 3 billion years before he was even placed into the divinity machine. The Doom Slayers armor is also impenetrable and unyielding as stated by the Dark Lord in the lore. Not that it matters because Doom Slayers body is tougher than his armor, and Doom Slayers fists do more damage than his weapons do. In the lore Doom Slayer only uses guns to inflict pain on the demons before killing them. Realistically, the only fictional character that can beat Doom Slayer in any way would be Son Wukong. Superman? Gone. Goku? Destroyed. Kratos? No chance. Dante? Demon=Death. Sorry, the ''game mechanics'' excuse doesn't convince me. If he had ''infinite speed'' he'd just finish everything in a blink. 3:49 that's it. A super soldier running around using hand weapons and at times his hands. There's nothing super powerful to this character except words and descriptions. I can find a hundred anime's where presumably weaker/weak characters actually SHOW that they're faster and stronger. He simply killed strong beings with high titles who showed no merit in action. For example Saitama casually blasting the skies apart as a side effect is more impressive than anything actually showed from this guy. Disagree? Then show me a scene where he actually SHOWS this immense power. I'll wait. The game and music is fantastic though, don't get me wrong on that.

Doom Slayer can beat gods infinitely more powerful than the ones in GoW, and with ease. Kratos struggles with most gods, in both the newer games and the old ones. Plus, Kratos has no way of even putting a scratch on the Doom Slayer. Yeah, sure, he might have the strength to flip the 9 realms, but we still have yet to see Doom Slayer’s full strength. It’s not the same with Kratos. There is absolutely no chance that Kratos would even be considered a competitor to the Doom Slayer in power.

Thor splintered the Yggdrasil in his battle against the world serpent making him multiversal at least Kratos then proceeds to low diff a bloodlusted Thor while holding back scaling him to multiversal aswell.
