Love to see some Oden respect. I haven't watched the vid yet but will do soon. I made an Oden analysis video recently because of the disrespect he gets in the community. A lot of people saying he gets mid diffed by the Admirals or he loses to Zoro and I hate it tbh. Glad to see you on this topic

Good analysis agree with pretty much everything just one nitpick. Oden is no "normal" human by any stretch of imagination. He is a genetic freak close to Kaido and BM. Check chapter 960 "before age 1 he threw his nurse... at age 4 he obliterated a bear with a boulder"... He was just built different from day 1. The dude is also like almost 4 meters tall.

Yes he's inheritently and naturally freakishly strong you are right but he's still human, a normal human is what I mean. Kaido is an oni with scales/skin hard enough that he couldn't even kill himself, Big Mom we still don't 100% know but it's very likely she's half giant or something along those lines. Oden was still human just born freakishly strong but his skin is still normal skin and his body is still a normal human body.

In the manga Kaido didn't even have any chance and was literally 1 shotted by Oden, and Kaido as you said only respects powee and talked about the 5 people who CAN fight him in the whole world, a world including big mom standing right next to him anyway and akainu .... great video but please, when kaido talks, we listen .

You forgot to mention that the manga stated oden returned *equal to the worlds greatest pirates* , who were WB & roger. I thought you were on point but then dropped the ball when you said he’s not at the highest echelon of strength. The manga narrator stated he was equal to WB & roger post journey, which given the context makes sense. He bested an already prime kaido his same age but that was a pirate 4x longer than him. And kaido himself compared oden to xebec roger WB, implying he’s on that level. So he’s definitely stronger than big mom, and is on par with the pirates on that list. Even if they win, it would be an extremely close fight that could take days. And to answer your question had oden lived, well let’s just say Zoro would be fighting oden at the end of the story for the worlds strongest swordsman title. The vivre card book even stated that oden was “the self proclaimed worlds strongest swordsman, *and his pride was not undeserved* . This was not a boast” Still respect for recognizing odens strength but you missed a few key statements and portrayal that puts oden even higher than you were stating

In original Japanese and French versions, it states he was on par/matched equally with the worlds greatest pirates, who obviously were roger (PK) and his greatest rival. Again kaidos “top 5” gives further context to this and reinforces the narrators statement

I think prime Oden was yonko tier fighter but not as powerful as Roger or Whitebeard. He can hang with the best

@@natureboyOP I think he is probably a good rival for prime Rayleigh. Keep in mind old Rayleigh was able to fight admirals and scare off a prime yonko based off his old feats. Oden and Rayleigh would be a close battle. Whitebeard and Roger both had right hand men who were low yonko level.

I think Oden is on the same level as the OG Admirals and weaker Yonko (Big Mom and Blackbeard). I re-read the flashback a week or so ago, and I got a renewed respect for Oden with just how monstrously he was portrayed. Even his loss to Roger is kind of overhyped, he was up immediately. His feat of scarring Kaido, somehow, is ridiculously downplayed by some people. When you look at the size of that scar, it was at least as large as Oden himself. If he landed that move on a weaker character his size or smaller like Yamato, Kidd, maybe even Fujitora, etc. he would straight up flay their skin off, assuming he doesn’t take limbs as well. I think a hypothetical prime Oden would be directly equal to the Kaido we saw in Wano, if not very slightly inferior due to Kaido’s physicality and abilities. Though if Oden learned better Haki, who knows, he might have surpassed Kaido. If you plan on doing another one of these videos, I don’t remember who all you did so far, but I think either Rayleigh or Kuzan would be a good analysis.

oden would not be equal to wano kaido b/c kaido got significantly stronger since then, his flame bagua attack would kill oden, so would flying drum dragon. His feats in Wano were insane, how would oden tank those attacks?

Great vid but if Oden is above Ben beckman that’d put him on shanks lvl. If he’s above the admirals past and present that’d put Oden Above Kaido, Big Mom, Luffy, Roger, and Wb. The admirals are above Kaido, Big Fraud, and Luffy. Kuzan was already stated to be stronger than Garp and Sengoku Pre TS. The same Garp who Roger thought was a rival and stated they’ve almost killed each other several times. Which is also puts Wb and Sengoku on the same level as them as well. While holding back Akainu beat old Wb who is stronger than Kaido, Big Mom, and Shanks stated multiple times. Kizaru is on the same level as Aokiji and Akainu. Then Aokiji and Akainu have a fight and they both get haki blooms becoming stronger and Akainu becomes fleet admiral. It’s stated under Akainu The navy have become more powerful and determined than ever before which includes the times of Prime Garp, Sengoku, and Kong with the additions of Greenbull and Fujitora along with Kizaru. That’d make all current admirals and fleet admiral on the same level if not stronger than prime Garp and Sengoku which would be the same with Whitebeard and Roger. With that being said Oden is not on their level nor Big Fraud and Kaido. Before y’all bring it up Shanks had to off guard Greenbull and still didn’t beat him. He left to not fight 2 yonko crews by himself. Kuzan was mentally nerfed, held back and still beat Garp. Kizaru was mentally and physically nerfed, didn’t even use haki, didn’t try to fight Luffy, and still has Luffy on the ground.

people forget Oden was the only one to leave a permanent scar on Kaido even years later in the onigashima fight, Zoro managed to cut him, but Kiado just seemed surprised, rather than screaming in pain when Oden slashed him
