I love the resins especially Dragons Blood. It smells amazing and it’s extremely powerful on its own. I combine it with frankincense, patchouli, myrrh and sea salt to cleanse and clear my home once a week. I light a white candle, place myself in a protective circle and invoke AA Michael and the angels of light and say a protective prayer as I move through each room. Definitely feel the shift in energy, smells awesome and feels so peaceful. 💜🦋⭐️ Thank you, Susan, love your videos.

I found cleansing my home with Palo Santo more effective than Sage. It removed all the noises inside the house I heard at night. It was a bit annoying re lighting it during the process but the result was worth it☺️ Thank you😊

I like using palo santo as well. Up until my wife became sort of bothered by the smoke I was using it as a bath once I got home since I work around a lot of people. Now I just hope for the best 😂

Thank you for the descriptions and distinctions. I prefer to use sage as needed, but I am not a fan of the scent. I'm glad to hear a possible option includes sage, lavender, and cedar. I'll have to look into getting a bundle like that.

I prefer the smell of palo santo and love the fact that it cleanses evil away. Yes it is annoying having to light it but I also like the fact that its a sweet woody smell and more natural if you will. I do smudge with sage a bit here and there when I feel like it. I've always used resin, especially frankincense and myrrh, as it was a part of our faith tradition growing up. If I'm not in the mood to light up resin incense because of the charcoal I almost always go for cones. I love the HEM Indian cones as they give a wonderful aroma, especially the frankincense, white sage, cinnamon and myrrh ones. I also use essential oils, you guest it frankincense being the one I use for aroma therapy, topical for all areas of the body and internally; as well a few others such as lavender, lemon, peppermint, cedar and rosemary for natural healing and aroma. I tend to only stick with a small amount of scents which I love to use and know have powerful aspects to them for both incense and oils.

Nice video generally when I use frankincense resin I grind it with the mortar and pestle into a powder before burning it gets the smoke going quicker

Hi Erica, thanks for your comments. While smudging is known to be associated with the native American culture, many cultures have smudged and used incense in rituals and ceremonies. The Catholics use it as the priests enter the sanctuary, many asian cultures employ incense, so unless you are duplicating the native american rituals, I don't feel like it is appropriating it. Oooh husky, what a great question! Ok. So as I understand it, "smudging " is a ritual using sacred herbs, plants, resins ect to clear away negative energy and the sort. Versus, burning incense is a passive activity where the stick, cone or resins burns without a ritual. For example you could burn loose sage during your smudging ritual or ceremony. Hi Anesti. Sage is considered sacred medicinal plant by many cultures, and it is also anti viral and microbial. So there are some actual healing property to it's smoke. I use white sage for 'general' clearing. If i'm up against evil or something very strong, I will switch to frankincense. Palo santo is great for creating sacred spaces... so it's based on what you're trying to accomplish. hope that helps!

Well, that depends. First is the incense stick really sage essential oil, or fragrance oil (perfume) and what you need to clear... try it. If it works, then great! if not, escalate it to a smudge bundle.

My 15 year old son died by suicide in his bedroom closet upstairs. My mother died a very peaceful death due to old age in her bedroom downstairs. Both of these are in my house, by the way. I want to cleanse negative energy, but not THEIR energy if that makes sense. I don't want to like, remove their spirit or make them feel unwelcome in my home if they are still here. I guess my question is, will this banish my loved ones spirits? not sure if you got the notice of the other reply, so here's a copy of it... hi Carrie, thanks for the question. Yeah if you want to exclude some friendly Spirits like your mom and your son. You might want to watch my video on the difference between smudging and incense. It explains some of this information. But to summarize I would use palo santo or even maybe just some incense because Sage especially white sage. Really does a thorough job of cleaning everything out. Good bad and indifferent. So you would risk potentially sending some of these friendly or Spirits away when you really didn't want to. But the main thing is to set your intentions and give you a mom and son a heads up. That you're going to be doing some smudging. So follow the channel over to the latest video and I think that'll help answer your questions. I hope that helps if you have any other question let me know. Are you actually having negative energy or you just feeling it's a little thick and stale?

Yes you can! Just remember there's a hot ember at the end and use a fireproof catcher so you don't drop anything...
