I clear homes, people, and items with Palo Santo exclusively, I LOVE the smell, and it works amazing for clearing negative energies and entities, I deal with some pretty strong negative entities and energies, and that is my go-to for clearing them. I buy ethically sourced Palo Santo in a powder form and use it in a burner with a wood handle, it stays lit until it's gone, it's the only way I buy it because I need it to stay lit for a long time when clearing a home.

If u hold it on an angle to avoid burning yourself and use a candle and just hold it under the fire for a while it will last longer...I also make sure to have windows open and walk thru my home and open doors so the energy can move. 🥰

Big thanks to you, Mallory, for sharing this video. I love the scent of the Palo Santo smoke and use it in conjunction with my sage bundle. When I burn them together, I imagine the smoke bringing the energies and teachings of North and South American Indigenous Peoples into my home and heart.

I actually prefer the smell of Palo Santo over sage, but use them in the same way. One thing I have noticed about Palo Santo is that the aroma will change over time. So try smudging in the morning and then when you leave your home and come back it kind of has more of a very faint menthol smell and it's sweeter as it settles. 💙

I've used both. I lean towards Palo Santo because sage sometimes irritates my sinuses. I do sometimes shred some with a knife for a longer burn.

Watching your vid after having done both a Sage & Palo santo. When I was using the Palo Santo, I had a selenite wand in the same hand, pretending I was using them both as a Wizard wand to purify my space. Made me feel happy kind of like a kid again. :D Thanks for your upload.

We lived in southeast Ecuador, where local shops and street vendors sold Palo Santo. My favorite form were handmade cones, but you can get it in many forms. Our landscaper made me a burner out of carved stone. It is an amazing thing for smudging and I hope to get back there soon for another supply. Thanks for your videos- great info and has helped me on my journey.

Palo Santo I use in my room and it smells great. Just remember while burning it to open windows and doors to the outside to let out the negative and let in the positive. Use throughout your apartment or house or even car. Wave the stick around the whole room or house or car.

I've heard of Palo Santo I have personally never used it. However, I have talked to and read the articles of people who have used it. One common thread amongst the spiritual practitioners (at least the ones I have looked at) is that they prefer to combine both Sage and Palo Santo in their unique style of practice. The Sage always comes first to open the floor and remove hostile entities; then they would come in with the Palo Santo, which does also remove hostile entities but has the added benefit of "locking in" whatever spiritual work you're doing. People report their spiritual work has more "oomph!" with Palo Santo. And Sage and Palo Santo seem to compliment each other without conflict; combined, their effect is greater. Palo Santo is also wonderful for getting rid of mosquitoes. And as someone who suffers from bites by those little monsters immensely. It's a blessing to be able to burn incense with Palo Santo in them ( I have mini Palo Santo blend incense but not the actual wood itself)

I love Palo Santo. However; I use a sage stick as well. Ive been using Palo off & on for about a year. I love the woody herbal scent. I pray and ask for good spirits to surround my space. I rotate it in a circular motion from room to room to purify my space. I ask for the negative energy to leave my space. It doesn’t stay lit for long but I relight it as needed. I not use it for 10 minutes and I never blow it out. I guess it’s pretty much like sage. It’s very therapeutic. I love your videos! Thanks so much for sharing dear! Yesss it’s here. Been waiting for this video. What you read in the packaging is very true. They have to wait till the tree has been dead for a while for it to be used for ceremony or healing. I have a way of holding the stick kind of like a cigarette between the middle and index finger while I hold the shell in the same hand and I keep the feather in the opposite hand because I like to use all the elements of the shell, feather and medicine (palo santo) when I smudge. Careful when purchasing from Amazon or anywhere online there are a lot of vendors selling fake palo santo that is dipped in essential oil. A good way to know your palo santo is real is by breaking a stick in half. You should be able to break it with both hands and when u break it you should be able to smell it on the newly exposed part of the stick where you snapped it in half. I’ve gotten ripped off many times where out of 5 sticks only 2 smelled like palo santo and the others like pine or some other wood. If u can’t snap it in half with ur hands maybe with gloves on so you don’t hurt your hands….it might be fake. Thanks Mallory. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I use it depending on what the person wants for example if he wants to get rid of negative energy and keep the same positive energy palo santo but if the person wants a new beginning on all then it will be sage

When I smudge, I do large sage bundles for different intentions and also use palo santo as well. Unfortunately, I have allergy induced asthma where smoke will cause me to get bronchitis. So I use a large soap stone bowl, place my sage, palo santo and written intentions into the bowl as I say a prayer. I let the bowl burn completely. I usually place it outside to control the amount of smoke I’m exposed to. I feel much more grounded afterwards. I appreciate the video and I follow this channel as I figure out what indigenous tribe I am from. I’ve learned a lot!

I love Palo Santo. A wonderful smell. I just used it in taking down and cleansing and resetting up my altar..You should try Mugwort next time. I love that as well. Not only for cleansing, but to help make your dreams more vivid.

I was told two things. 1. Burn sage first to rid of negative energy. After a while, do the same with palo Santo but not together or at the same time. Because it will make the energies go weird or neutralize them. The sage gets rid of the negative while palo santo brings in the positive. 2. I heard use sage for negative stuff, but use palo santo if something is extremely negative or stubborn.

I also use the tradional sage as well, but sometimes i feel a bit guilty for using it as i know it is used in the Indigenous peoples practice as as a white person i don't know if its okay to use it. Hey, Lynn! See if you can find silver sage in your area. I was in NM a few weeks ago and learned from an indigenous Pueblo woman that silver sage grows abundantly in NM and is used for smudging and ceremony among the people there. She was gracious and gave me bundles to bring home because she said that there is a shortage of white sage.

Ok I'm Abenaki. From upstate NY I have had to move from my house where we saged every day in the am before we started our day...we also have a pow so drum where we drummed many schools also. So now I'm in an a assisted living place question I can't burn sage in my appt ment so I got pique sage and when its nice out I can burn sage outside its just not the same so how do you use liquid sage. The only time I get to burn sage is when I go outside. So that's OK. The liquid sage is all I can use inside which is ok but it's OK but just know the same and over her in Albany NY we have just lost our elder and I could ask her everything I learned so much from beading, I made an awesome wearing blanket and just teacher. So living where I am missing that circle of native friends. Palo santo [Bursera Graveolens ] y well know in South America. Grows in Brasil Ecuador and Peru just rectify this. Most common use is for celebrate Christmas and it is used with myrrh. Very powerful better than sage for smudging.
