The impressive part about watching the legends, you can see pieces of all these guys complied into Mayweathers game, a true student of the squared circle... They never want to give dude his flowers but he's truly the best to ever lace a pair of gloves... That dude is definition of the sweet science of boxing... People that had the opportunity to witness said he trained like he didn't have a single dollar to his name... I remeber when he fought Oscar he made a quote in a magazine, "While they're sleep I'm WORKING, while they're working I'm WORKING, they'll NEVER beat me." People don't even understand the power in those words...

@THEINFINITEBLACKDYNAMITE or maybe they just had testosterone levels above 500-750 unlike nowadays where 200 -300 is considered average.... and it's all normal now. And of course it wasn't planned.... right? We can't even muster the energy and motivation to sit at a computer screen for 40 hours a week, nevermind actually compete with another man for our livelihood....and yet we call it progress
@THEINFINITEBLACKDYNAMITEАй бұрын
@Clay_j_Bray From a scientific stand point they were burning themselves out, that's too much wear & tear on the body & not enough for healing & recovering. Men's testosterone level are lower today because of the foods & drinks being consumed, the environment of the world (wanting to de-masculate men & make them feminine), & the fact that jobs are not as physically demanding cause they have technology to do it or help them do it.
@xGhostRidahАй бұрын
@THEINFINITEBLACKDYNAMITE if they were burning themselves out, then what do you call today's athletes? Todays athletes are softer than baby powder. Men were men in those days. You don't know what hard work is. They went 15 rounds back then. Now, 12? They fought over 5-10 times a year, now 1-2? You don't know the full potential we possess as humans. Keep eating your fast food and lifting them snicker bars.

WHAT MADE ROBINSON A WINNER ALL THE TIME? WAS HIS BOUNCING FOOTWORK AND HIS SPEED AND AGGRESSION! IF YOU NOTICE HE ALWAYS POUNCES ON HIS OPPONENTS, OR IF THEY ARE CHARGING AT HIM AGGRESSIVELY? HE DANCES AROUND THEM WAITING FOR THEM TO SLOW DOWN, THEN HE GOES BACK ON THE OFFENSE WITH POUNCING. USING SPEED AND AGGRESSION. HE HAD THE ENERGY AND CONDITIONING TO DO THAT.. BUT HE HAD NOTHING ELSE .... THIS WAS HIS THING. HIS SKILL SET. IT WASNT SO MUCH HOW GOOD HE WAS, IT WAS THAT ALL THE GUYS HE FOUGHT DID NOT HAVE THOSE SKILLS OR ABILITIES..

They say we as athletes in todays age are better with science but 3-5 fights a month and if I’m not wrong they did like 15 or more rounds at that crazy, I think with a lot of sport and culture we as humans have lost our altitude for grit, I understand to a set degree it’s also to protect the fighters but it also just shows their resilience back then

Everyone used to train similarly in all sports because they didn’t have that much weights. I love rowing or riding a bike. That’s fluid resistance. You’re trying to do work traveling through a fluid. I love the bike because it’s the opposite of lifting weights. A heavier bike doesn’t make a difference. You just go into a higher gear or spin faster to produce more power and work. After a certain of building a base of muscle on your frame you’re just adding load to your bones and joint. If you do that on a bike you start to bend the frame and stretch the chain and it slows you down. And you’re doing it with your muscles. Most likely that’s what starts happening to your body because your skeleton is like the bike frame. They do it for fighting and football but if I slam a bike on your head and bend it it’s no longer a good bike. It only matters if you’re gambling in the sport for imaginary returns.

This is the real training of the great Sugar Ray Robinson.He ran 5-10 miles a day, 6 days a week. Not 2-3 miles. He didn't eat process foods. Also, he was celibate. He understood that obtaining from sex gave him a big amount of energy and helped him fight like a warrior. He learned this from Joe Louis and Jack Blackburn. They taught him good habits. He skipped rope between 20-40 minutes. Later in the day, he did tap dancing, which really made his footwork one of a kind im the ring. It gave him rhythm. Other than that, you got everything else right. He did all the calisthenics.
@BoxingLifeАй бұрын
I’ve did so much research into for this and after reading 2 books for this video and looking at shit load of Achieve articles. No where did I find he ran 10 Miles a day, only 5 miles at most. Maybe he did it on occasion. The tap dancing wasn’t necessarily every day. He said to have done it, but I highly doubt he would do this all the time. He did go out for walks though or just relax listening to music reading etc . I did cover about why he abstained from sex as-well. I did struggle to find information on exact calisthenic exercises. He did say he focused mainly on his core. Plus things like neck bridges similar to Tyson. But he always talked about doing calisthenics.
@xGhostRidahАй бұрын
@BoxingLife first and foremost I must say that I respect your channel and what you do. I never said he ran 10 miles. His workout regimen was 5-10 miles. I get my research from old heads and my grandfather who actually saw Robinson in his prime. I'm a boxer myself btw. Ray Robinson learned how to tap dance by a man name Howard Sims aka the sandman which you can look up on KZbin. Tap dancing he did in the evenings. These were one of his hobbies. The sandman, I qoute " I taught sugar ray how to dance. After i taught him, nobody could beat him."
