I came across this video by chance...I wanted to learn more about what Tantra was. What I got was a whole lot more. This is a truly amazing woman... not only is she brave to talk about her traumatic experiences but she has shared how she dealt with it. While I can’t directly relate to her trauma, I can relate to her struggles with mental health as a person who goes about in the world pretending everything is okay. Each person who ‘suffers’ the same should feel empowered by this woman’s words, regardless of whether they choose to resolve their issues in the same way or different ways. And At the same time, being honest with yourself about your sexuality and sexual personality is a significant part of that. With this video She has made a significant chip in the societal stigma of talking about metal health, as well as the stigmas around speaking up about sexual abuse and being honest with your sexuality in general. Such a shame she is not still with us, but regardless, her words still have so much weight and thankfully have been immortalised in this video.

There are so many things about YT that I despise. Just so you and your readers receive proper interpretation and instruction of the spoil the child verse, the rod refered to in that verse has nothing to do with punishment. It refers to the rod and staff of a shepherd. The staff to pull sheep away from danger and the rod to encourage them to move ahead. That is what the it means in that verse...safety and encouragement. I know how bad it is...I’ve been trying to come off this for 4 yrs at my Dr’s request & they are not taught to take anyone off! These drugs cause Central Nervous System Injury & impairment! You think your so high & mighty...maybe you need to take them for enough yrs to become addicted then have someone cut you off of the dose so you can experience that hell for yourself! God bless!

Advice please. I don’t know how to encourage my wife to join me. In this aspect of our lives together. My view, is that sex, is what you make of it. I’d like it to be comfort, safe, playful, messy, bonding, exciting, adventurous, joyful, giving, and sharing, etc. She sees it as dirty, not spiritual, but of a base need, that men need to relieve themselves of, every so often. The less the better. I don’t know how to move forward together. It is how she feels, I can’t be mad with her. Or tell her to change. Couples or sex therapy, only lasts one or two sessions. With her feeing threatened. There is obviously a lot more detail, to our stories. But we are planning a trip to south east Asia. Where again, I will have trouble managing my expectations, and end up feeling depressed. Going to a western oriented, tantric retreat, is a tough sell. Any ideas?

I venture to say she was not bipolar, just deeply wounded not only sexually, but spiritually more than anything. Sorry, but God is not a controlling existence that will kill all the bad ones because that was their choice to be bad. We are free to choose our path, to be good or bad and the consequences are on us as human beings, not God. I am Christian, a real Christian not from a cult, I am very sorry for your experience in this kind of place :( I was also sexually abused but God had the responsibility of taking care of me, not fixing the abuser that choose to don't listen to God. He got his own consequences and I got my healing. My church was my support all the way. I was not judged or crucified, they helped me all the way until I felt safe and whole again. God loves all of us as individuals but not all of us love God and that is a free choice we need to face every day in this crazy world with war, hate, and shame. God is the only solution, not men, women in any form of connection can fix others.

Think twice before you follow such examples blindly. For all her healing, she ultimately killed herself despite being recognised and successful which means deep down she was living a lie. Her father was a extremely strict like some religious convervatives who thinks they are protecting their family this way and not a abuser as she claims. But she vents her anger on him bcuz he's the cause of her being a rebel and her ultimately wayward life and stressful misadventures. She is a tough, confident matured successful person to kill herself now after so many decades for any mental hurt to herself in childhood. The only thing that could be eating her under her pomp exterior is the guilt of lying about her dad to get back at him as she's getting matured and inability to come to terms to admit this truth as she has harnessed sympathy for herself and would badly lose face. This internal conflict with herself ultimately could be resolved in suicide. Very tragic for both Daughter and Father.
