And it's not like her earning power is that special, because that's the Swifties' next line of defense. In reality, artists such as Prince and MJ fought tooth and nail to have more control of their licensing. MJ notably shook down the industry when he purchased 51% of Sony in the early 2000s. Prince changed his name to a symbol because of ownership issues. Apparently, they never even tracked the album sales of Purple Rain. And many of the older artists experienced these kinds of setbacks. Taylor Swift's artistic autonomy is coasting on their struggles- and possibly their deaths (if you know who Tommy Mottola is). Yup, that’s what it sounds like to me. I don’t begrudge her success at all, I thought that the hater song was cute, but the intensity of her fans I don’t get that. It’s not like she on Carol King level of songwriting or even just her music. (Writing instrumental pieces). Will anything she wrote last like a Joni Mitchell song?
@rdumorne14 ай бұрын
I'm pissed that you had the gall to put King and Joni is the same comment. I doubt Shake It Off and Love Story will be in the pantheon of Far Away and Both sides....... Why don't you just throw Stevie Nicks in there for good measure. btw Love Story is great song for the 13 to 16 female age group.

Yup. I work part time retail and our latest cd corporate sent us to play has like 7 or 8 Taylor swift songs-it’s a cd with 20 songs max. So it’s Taylor every other song. And they all sound the same and just like that girl. It’s funny cuz right after we got it I said to a coworker “there’s like 3 Taylor swift songs on this cd” and she said “try again, there’s at least twice that”. They all sound so similar it took some work but we are pretty sure there’s 7 or 8 🤷♀️😂

I love it. I like Taylor Swift but I don't listen to her music cause it's not my genre. All Taylor's music sounds the same to me. This girl in the video nailed the impression.

Taylor actually has a lot of diverse music. I'm not a Swifty but I absolutely love Folklore which is an Indie Pop album. She has a lot of diverse music so There may be an album or song of hers you like. But I get that everyone has different taste in music.

to everyone who is saying that all taylor writes about is breakups, try listening to marjorie or any other song that is more recent. I know ts isn’t for everyone and her songs could be repetitive sometimes, but try doing more research before speaking badly about anything or anyone
