I feel Klopp made a mistake taking his top players out, United did play bench players as well but Klopps system is much better which in turn led to the kids dominating possession but experience helped United especially during counters which ultimately killed liverpool

The statistics for Sterling don’t paint the full picture. It’s one of two extremes with him. When he’s on, he’s on. When he’s not, he’s a legitimate liability. The inconsistency is the biggest issue.

There is not way mccubin watched the game sterling had the worst ever chelsea performance I have ever seen in a chelsea shirt. and its not even just that game he never actually tries EVER, always head down missing easy chances. we need to stop the narrative that ETH did anything crazy to beat klopp cus it’s just not true, it showed klopp furious in the 75th minute and i was thinking why? we’re all over them and we’re winning so we’re fine but klopp knew they’d have a chance late on so he wanted another goal for the cushion and the players didn’t seem to agree they almost just passed around hoping they wouldn’t finish the chance they’d eventually get. Ten hag did nothing tactically to “outsmart klopp” He just made a few subs to go more attacking which any manager would do in his situation and got lucky antony scored

Chelsea fan here. It’s not just this game. Our issue with Sterling is not one game. It’s not exaggerating. And it’s definitely not racism Mikey. Despite putting up the numbers most Chelsea fans would agree he’s been our worst attacker. He consistently loses the ball in attack, slows down the attack, and is ineffectual for the vast majority of our games. On top of that we’ve just seen him be weirdly selfish throughout this season. I can think of 2 very specific moments where him, palmer and at least one other player are running at the keeper and instead of passing to palmer for a shot at an empty net, he shoots directly at the keeper. And he’s now twice tried to take a penalty off of a player that has not missed a penalty for Chelsea. It just makes no sense. The only reason he would take the ball is to get a goal for his confidence given he’s missed 5/7 pens. He’s putting his form ahead of the team getting goals it feels like. I can’t explain it otherwise. And you saw against Leicester that the penalty miss (couldn’t even score the penalty) completely shifted the momentum for the whole game until he came off and suddenly we came to life. He actively makes our attack worse even if HIS numbers aren’t bad. Hes also getting in the way of exciting young players that NEED that game time. Poch doesn’t help him, subbing mudryk off ahead of him was a huge reason the boos got so intense. It feels like he’s only playing on reputation not form or merit. He needs to move on
