I stayed at the cosmopolitan and got to see this every time I walked out on the strip. So much I actually got tired of how much traffic it caused on the sidewalk lol, but regardless it was still cool to look at.

This is the worst "how it works" video I have ever seen. He didn't explain how many of it actually works. Just pointing out components and saying industry words doesn't give any actual information about HOW it works.

True. Basically those things fill up with water because they are submerged. There are air tanks in the base where compressed air accumulates and a valve pops open which forces the water out and is the reason for the loud pop at the end of the spray.

Nope, The Dubai Fountains are bigger. They have more elements and cover a larger area but they also have some elements that are viewed best from one side than another, so it might have some kind of weird effects when that happen.
