this movie is about first love, being embrace, vulnerability, passion, obssesion, lust. it´s setting, shots, soundtrack, actors, everything is perfect.

I'd also add to your words! I always say that the reason this movie is my most favourite film of all time is because its the representation of impressionism as a genre in a cinematography. And indeed the whole movie sets up this atmosphere of a fleeting moment, trying to depict us a blink in life, and accompanied by impressionistic scores - the most obvious example being "une barque sur l'ocean " by Ravel one of the biggest names in this genre of music.

Vous savez chaque scène fait ressentir une émotion un sentiment un jeu de séduction, il est difficile de choisir un moment donné du film, lumière sourires joie tristesse colère qu'Oliver parte pour se marier en plus. .. Mais quel film merci Luca ❤❤❤❤

Great analysis! You pointed out the exact things that made this film be such an impactful experience to me. The dreamlike atmosphere, the paradisiac romance, the young and new experience of love, conveyed masterfully through music (especially Sufjan Stevens pieces) and cinematography was perfect and points out the brilliant direction by Guadagnino! A love story so simple but perfect to convey such an emotional film that translates the idea of love into this idealization that could feel more like a memory than like a present thing.
@jaquelinebernhard56829 ай бұрын
Merci beaucoup

After they go to the sea to recover artifacts, there is a scene where Elio plays music alone in the house. It's my favorite scene in the movie. I wonder if he's actually playing a real piece of music or just playing. Does anyone know? Thanks.
@alexc85122 жыл бұрын
I believe that is him playing une barque Sur l’ocean if I remember correctly. And I believe he plays it as he played in all the other scenes. It is such a short scene but memorable.

Good video, the only thing I disagree with is the use of music. I would say that it's quite obvious that music is almost a character in the movie, and not something that subconsciously functions as a tool in the film to help shape the tone and mood.
