I figured it out a long time ago. It's not just EVs, but battery manufacturing, mining, renewable energy from building the infrastructure to the services themselves. A huge transfer of wealth as WE subsidize even highly profitable companies to build the infrastructure (and land grabs for the wired) and are then forced to use their services, which will absolutely be expensive and heavily taxed! We're scr€wed on both ends. They say it will be "cheaper" when the land is covered with solar panels & wind turbines which fill the oceans offshore but they always say that! Like when CDs replaced vinyl at 4Xs the cost "when everything is buy CD the price will come down" NO it went up. It's causing masdive environmental destruction belying their concern for the environment. The politicians have the power to mandate renewable garbage and eliminate all the competition!
