Just look at the Last Paris tournament intead of closing the eyes each time he detroys an opponent... i agree teddy should demonstrate more confidence in his skills... but when he releases his power, this Guy is a veritable monster... his ne waza is underexploited... i think his coaches have a very poor sense of strategy...

Did you ever practice judo yourself? Yasuyuki muneta is 1.72m and defeated Riner in his youth... it's a technical sport

There are much heavier opposants in his Weight class. And 10 cm or so above is not an excuse in any class. Like someone said previously it's a technical sport.

Sorry, but Teddy is not the best judoka. He is just the largest an tallest judoka, and he is phxsically very strong. His technique is merely mediocre in my view, no kuzushi, but just tear down maki-komis.

This is heavy weight. With 120 / 130 kg you can't move like a light weight. Compare elephants with lions. (The elephant wins - but seems not elegantly :) Try to win with 90kg against a 120kg judoka. This works with ease if the fat one is at a low technical level and you are at a high one. if he is even half as good as you are, you lose to muscle mass and mass.

Ppl forget that before Riner judokas over 100 kg were fat. He arrived with 15% body fat. He revolutionized his sport like Jonah Lomu revolutionized rugby.

Si on part sur ce raisonnement, il faudrait remettre en cause tous les plus grands champions, Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt... Leurs physiques sont littéralement fait pour engranger des médailles. On peut parler aussi de certains coureurs de fonds qui on une capacité pulmonaire génétiquement bien supérieur aux autres. Chacun joue avec ses cartes !

t'as jamais fais de judo t'as pas compris que c'était un sport d'équilibre et de coordination, judo ça veut littéralement dire "voie de la souplesse". Son physique est surement proche de la perfection pour sa catégorie mais ça change rien au fait que c'est négligeable. il a perdu en 2008 avec un physique "parfait" contre Yasuyuki Muneta une légende du japon qui fait...1m72! C'est un sport technique on fait avec le physique qu'on a. Muneta était un ovni aussi: 1m72 120kg mais une souplesse et une nervosité incroyable. C'est le but de cette "catégorie", aucune limite, on peut toujours s'amuser à aller chercher des lutteurs sénégalais de 160kg ou je ne sais quel mastodonte sur la terre si t'es pas maitre de ton art tu ne vaut rien.

C'est pas subjectif la performance dans un sport d'opposition direct, t'as le droit de pas aimer le style mais la performance se respect quand on a un minimum de jugement. être aussi habile et vif quand on fait 2m 150kg c'est génial point. Tu crois que ses adversaires sont des rigolos aussi? non quand tu regarde les grandes compétitions tu regarde l'élite de l'élite.
