Jeepers Klayton. The Jurassic Park Trilogy was a great successful event if I’m not a fan of Jurassic Park III but they’re so great. I’m sure that there’s gonna be a new Jurassic series right after Jurassic World III nor a solo Jurassic series. Great video and as always, take it easy.

It's a little hard to imagine the franchise without Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom... But then again, if they followed their plan... What would the recent sequels be about? There are a lot a interesting paths you could take... But it probably wouldn't be the "chaptered" story that we now have... JP- Introduction to the science and failure of the park and dinosaur island JP:LW- Second island and introduction of dinosaurs to the media JP3- Soft follow up of dinosaurs going public and presentation of InGen's secret creations JW- The park is open and more InGen secrets followed by the accident work in JP3 JW:FL- Isla Nublar' s destruction, being the waypoint to never coming back to the island and setting the stage for the end chapter JW3- Conclusion and continuation of the consequences established in all movies, especially the debated topics of the original JP

The fact that they're trying to tie JP 3 to JW 3 makes me wanna see it even more when it comes out. I feel like JP 3 has been forgotten about considering nothing from that movie has really been mentioned except Sorna and the dino population in JW: Fallen Kingdom which was brief.

VERY interesting! I almost want to say that if Spielberg's initial "JP" trilogy had gone in this direction, then the "Jurassic World" films *might* not have come to fruition. After what happens in what was originally supposed to be "JP3," I personally don't see someone like a Simon Masrani convincing the world that a dinosaur theme park *is* a good idea. But that's just me. BTW, congrats on the merch!

The Lost World: Jurassic Park was always my favorite Jurassic Park movie BECAUSE of the 3rd act with the T-Rex stomping around San Diego. (And recently because of the connection to my favorite singer/songwriter, Warren Zevon and his song “Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner;” as I found out from one of your videos but never realized until then and just got super excited).

If Spielberg had stuck to his guts on the original plan for the trilogy, (without Isla Sorna, because I feel Site B is entirely unnecessary) and stuck to a consistent story ark, where Jurassic Park fails, something has survived (ON NUBLAR) and where the dinosaurs come to the mainland and caused havoc. the Jurassic Park trilogy would probably have been the 90's version of Star Wars, and would have been hailed as one of the best! Honestly I feel the movies we got after the first film, was disappointing, if the trilogy was consistent and successful, then the new Jurassic World films could have focused on Humanity trying to survive and defend against Dinosaurs in the first Jurassic World, the second will focus on humanity and Dinosaurs trying to fight against each other from going extinct, and then the third is learning to coexist with each other.

I'd love a sort of drama-action film about a scientist and an investigator working together on a case regarding reports of a "strange creature" biting or killing people on the mainland and coming face-to-face with the threat of a velociraptor, the existence of inGen's work, and the defiant denial from the local government about the existence of dinosaurs. They realize there isn't just one creature they've been looking for. In fact, they themselves are being hunted.

I remember a scene that was cut/changed from the 1st JP that I've never seen you or anyone else cover. Back in the mid-late 90's, I had watched some movie special effects series on discovery channel (back b4 the station changed it's programming to stuff like mythbusters) that in 1 episode showed a cg rough clip of Grant getting killed by the raptors at the end b4 the "Rexy saves everyone" part was decided on. There was an ilm guy (or w/e equivalent) being interviewed and he brought it up and showed/explained it. I've always wondered about it, as I was a kid and took it for granted. I'd really like to know more about it. If you could find anything about it I'd love to see!

I think they could've still do the dinos leaving the island(at least temporary) in the third film even with the T-Rex rampage in the second film. They just need to focus more of it than the second film did. I also really liked the idea of Grant having been on Sorna in the third film (getting permission for scientific reasons) and someone coming by and informing him of dinos being on the mainland, leading to them trying to solve how they are getting off the island, or if someone taking them off the island, or that they aren't leaving the island and the dinos on the mainland were recently cloned on the mainland. Of course we would also need characters that are focused on the mainland as well and we'd either get new characters or Sarah Harding can drag Ian Malcolm back to action XD.

Had Spielberg's original plans for the first JP trilogy pulled through, I think it could've worked well with some elements introduced in the final products. Mainly by having the Pteranodons and Spinosaurus, and possibly raptors and compies on some ships, approach the mainland and cause chaos there. But even then, I'm glad they brought back these ideas for the "World" trilogy and I cannot wait for what the sixth film has in store.

There's this notion that everything has to be a trilogy to be complete, and while there are some decent film trilogies out there, The Lost World Jurassic Park, Terminator 1, and 2 along with Alien and Aliens work great as a two part story. Each sequel wraps up the previous movie's open ended conclusion in a satisfying way, and doesn't over stay it's welcome like so many franchises today.

Personally I always hated the t-rex in San Diego part but that being said I am a huge fan of the idea of dinosaurs escaping into the mainland. I didnt love Lost World but it was a great movie. I just felt the Marines would have rolled, a couple of RPGs later down goes T-rex- no more rampage and San Diego is safe again. I don't feel like an invasion by any super predator in any big city would have lasted long enough to be entertaining. Just my take.

I do indeed feel that Spielberg should've stuck with his original plans. His original plans always happen to be more well thought-out. It could've actually made the trilogy FAR more successful and not only that, but a LOT more enjoyable. I love the Lost World and JP3 for how they are, but I do in fact know that both sequels had the potential to be better than they came out. At least for me, they weren't badly made to the point where I actually got disappointed. Fallen Kingdom already did just that. But Colin Trevorrow is an AMAZING director and is GREAT with making a chilling movie. I'm sure if he were the one to direct Fallen Kingdom, I would've at least been able to let it all slide. The first Jurassic World in my unpopular opinion is a FANTASTIC film and is in fact my second favorite in the franchise. It was VERY enjoyable both storywise and VISUALLY aswell. I'm sure as hell crossing fingers that Colin will rise the trilogy back up on its feet after how disappointing Fallen Kingdom was for me with Battle At Big Rock and JW3. LET'S GET IT, COLIN! HIT US WITH YOUR BIGGEST SHOT IN THE 3RD FILM! I CAN SEE THIS BEING A TRULY AWESOME WRAP UP! LET'S GO!

I have to say that I am pretty excited to see where the next film takes us. I really hope they will incorporate more of Crichton's themes, and make it bigger, scarier, and in the end, make the audience really think about what happens when you decided to "play God." In any case, I am happy they finally made it to the mainland. (I just hope that nothing happens to Rexy or Blue, but it probably will.)
