How the pandemic allowed caregivers to get some of the help they needed

Nationwide, there are an estimated 38 million Americans working as family caregivers, doing unpaid work that's valued at $600 billion a year. For some, the price is paid in pain, loneliness, and stress, especially since the role can be isolating and difficult. However, one group is dedicated to working with these caregivers, and the pandemic helped them spread their message of hope and help. Barry Petersen has more.

I joined 2 support groups after my mom was diagnosed with dementia. They kept me sane, seen, helped with information and tips, and I felt less alone in my journey with mom. What was unexpected was the immense sense of camaraderie and fulfillment when I was able to give back and help others. Support groups are priceless!❤

As a caregiver, it's overwhelming and never ends and will financially bankrupt an entire generation. Its another full time job that you're not paid for.

Just have to gauge of this is an aggressive type. Good lord those are impossible. Stubbornness is one thing but constant arguments while they forget is a fool's errand to try to salvage.
