Naturalized American here who grew in the RP as a kid during the 80's. I watched the Wraith on Betamax or VHS. Back then, once a movie shows up in theaters, copies will "magically" show up in betamax/vhs form . It was primitive Pirate Bay haha. And the theaters didnt care how old you were regardless of movie rating, Case in point, I saw Cobra with Sly Stallone, and it was the rare R version, and they let an 8 year old kid (me) watch it, with my older brother. I can confirm those goofy and fake titles of movies back then.

@@justplayitpodcast as a follow up, it just hit me that Taking Care of Business 1990 (jim Belushi) was called "Filofax' (even the billboards were changed). And I also remembered the entire theater went quiet, then nuts during the Loryn Locklin swimming pool scene. We Men of culture..

🤚native from RP. Before internet and streaming movies were the cheapest form of entertainment . . Re-titling movies as sequels to box office hits to get...as you say " get butts on seats". Actually there was a Ghost 2 ( which had nothing to do with Swayzee's Ghost) and then how they added Unchain Melody in the opening scene is a mystery. And an old Sly Stallone movie which they added a " Rambo" scene with a big burly guy, machine gunning down thugs!😅😅

I am thought I knew most B movies from the 80s, especially involving John Carpenter. I have to admit though I have never heard of Black Moon Rising. Having seen The Wraith and just the few clips on here of Black Moon Rising, I cannot fathom how any human being would believe these movies are in anyway related.

I've seen The Wraith but this video made me seek out Black Moon Rising and as 80's B-movies go it was ok but not great it's just odd watching a younger Tommy Lee Jones here who at the time was only 40 but looks 50! 😆 Also I always thought that Linda Hamilton looked so attractive in the 80's with her big hair and all but at the time of Terminator 2 where she had to bulk up a bit she started looking a tad plain looking.

Wraith and Black Moon Rising aren't related not even close, Wraith is closer to Ghost Rider and not a sequel.
