This movie scared me genuinely as a kid. The worst part being how awful the bad guy is...way worse than the Crow-like vengeance going on. The bad guy was believably a terrible person.

This would be a great movie to remake. Given how popular movies about tuner cars are, or in the case of Fast and Furious, movies that used to be about tuner cars. Flip the script though, have the villains in the fancy, high tech tuner cars and the Wraith be in a badass old muscle car.

It would be time for an update to the movie, but knowing modern Hollywood, they’d only ruin yet another classic by infusing unnecessary woke politics. They’d make the lead character an emotionless female POC, the antagonist would be a cliche of a white person, skank and gutter boy would be in a heavily-featured relationship, the rest would be “diverse” characters…. Etc, etc, etc. Leave classic movies like this alone and instead come up with something fresh and original instead.

Hahaha...This unforgettable gem was called 'Interceptor' or 'Turbo Interceptor' in Hungary as well, although that was during in the wild, unofficial VHS copying era in the beginning of 90's, before the first professional Hungarian full-cast dubbed versions. These classic evergreen 80s action movies were usually distributed with muffled and noisy German dub/audio track (sometimes with original English ones, but their sound quality were also terrible of course..) and the whole thing was mostly buried under a distorted, monotonous and bored Hungarian voice-over provided by a single male guy. :D This was something that no one from Hollywood at that time could have imagined that it actually worked well. :DD

Because there is no word in German you could translate "The Wraith" into. Example, "Lord of the Rings" Ring Wraith is in German called "Ringgeist", Ringghost. So this film would be named "Der Geist".. not so cool as "Interceptor" Just my two cents.

I have this on DVD after trying to get it for quite sometime. ( many reasons as to why i couldn't earlier) But, i won't go into that i am so pleased i have now & glad to watch it along with with many of my other personal collection of DVD & BLUE RAY discs. My partner has more than 20 times more collection of discs than myself as i have had to start re-collecting due to my HORRIBLE X STOLE!!! 😠😡😠😡😠😡👎👎👎 my collection amongst may other collectable items i had. So, it's back to the very start after many, many , many years of of collecting & i know i will NEVER get them all again not even close prob be no more than 10% of what i had before if i am very lucky. Over 85+% i will never be able to replace. Because it is no longer made. 😒😒😒😒

@@donaldmiller4386 I have watched the movie. The reality is, is that it's still just a pump action shotgun. Which he never used the pump to load another rou d into the chamber after he fired. It would've been more believable if he had used some laser gun instead. Maybe I'm being too technical. After all it was an 80s movie. Sort of like when Rambo fired a L.A.W. rocket inside the Huey and no ine was hurt.
