It was a privilege to work with Gen Klair and it was a constant learning experience. Sir is one of the rare person of our time who practice what he preaches. Lots of regards for Sir.

Having served under his able, absolutely dynamic and continually inspiring command, I can vouch for one thing that he speaks what he believes in and practices the same in his daily life. Feel absolutely lucky to have seen and served with him, he is truly a breed apart.

Having served with the General Officer since past 25 years from the icy heights of Dokala and Kupup, I can vouch for the infectious indomitable, never say die spirit of Gen Klair... Enthusiasm of living each moment is what he exudes all the time...

From my life experiance I can advise you this: Define you goal. Best as early as possible. Then pursure your goal. It is OKAY to later change your goal, if it turns out, that your initial aim was a bad idea. But that is better than having no goal. In the second case - which was my case - life defines a purpose for your. That is easy, but not allways satisfactory.

Hearing this talk confirms my experiance. Lt Gen Alok Kler spent more years in the Army, then I have lived. He told us, what I already knew. But hearing it from his words, feels good.

Excellent. Loved the talk. Beautifully related to students. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity of serving under this General in my 34 years of 'soldiering.' I spoke on a similar platform of school on "Purpose of Life."

It was definitely an inspiring video which motivates us to hunt and realize our aims. But the main problem is us. I can say that this video was inspiring and this and that, blah blah blah, but it is pretty much useless until the listener takes the initiative to work upon those ideas and realize them. And my point is verified in the story of Mahabharatha, where Yudhishthira couldn't just learn and recite the lines to his teacher, because for him learning was not just memorizing and reciting but it was implementing the things that he had learned. And here too, we learn to follow our dreams and cooperate, to do action but how many of us are really doing it? It is not that we are learning these facts for the first time, are we? so what was that kept us from achieving what was said? It was definitely our lack of self initiative.

What is the background of the recent difference in opinion between the Sapper COS Gen Rai and the GOC of the South Western Command Gen Kler, a rare gem of a professional? I heard his recent speech to officers. Senior officers/ General Officers must air their differences in seclusion. I hope there is nothing contentious in the professional traits but only in in house Administration mercifully in the present case. Generals differ but this must not be splayed across. It is unadvisable fodder for the lay public. I wonder who publicised this avoidable occurrence. He must suffer a proper dressing down. Lt Col Rajkumar Titus (Retd.).

when i was 8 i wanted to be milionare. As a middle aged man now, I am still not a millionare - far from it. But I do not call me poor anymore. I do not want to be a millionare anymore. I reached a state in wich money is not that important anymore.
