Serious Mental illness? Seek the truth of Jesus, read the New Testament and pray and understand the most mental health issues are real spiritual things. The "doctors" do not want you to understand this. They would rather drug you so you don't learn the truth... demons are real and ONLY knowledge and love and wisdom through Jesus can set you free from it. This is serious. Please know the truth so that you can begin to attack the real problem head on.

Has anyone considered that they were admitted because the hospital is a place of business that profits from admitting and "treating" people? How often did people not get admitted to hospitals at the time?

I don't know much about psychology, but aren't you only considered crazy if the "voices" are telling to to harm yourself or another or are telling you that someone is trying to harm you? Like, how is crazy distinguished from clairaudience?
