Where I grew up in Vancouver, there was a children's show called Carousel, and Uncle Bob, and Mr. Ron were the characters on it. I was on the show at about age 8 or something! (1961ish) The first time I was ever on TV. The 2nd time was at a Vancouver Canadians baseball game. (1991ish) The "San Diego Chicken" was there and my really CUTE 3 yr old daughter was dressed up in her white sailor dress and cap with RED shoes! The Chicken came over and SCARED Niki! She started crying! It was video-taped and all of it was on Sports Page that evening! A room-mate taped over all of my memories of my baby daughter, AFTER I ASKED HIM NOT TO TOUCH MY TAPES! You may imagine how I felt about that! The police were there of course and this punk kid was out on the street that evening! I could write a BEST-SELLER about my 'sharing' experiences!

The way I heard it from a good friend in high school (whose mother was a real estate agent), was that Rock Hudson and Jim Nabors bought a house together, and it was written about in a real estate trade magazine. This was around 1970. The magazine was not available except to real estate agents by subscription only, and you had to prove your real estate license to get the subscription. But your story sound plausible, too. Either way, it was no secret that both men were gay.

One of my favorite stories about Rock and Jim comes from Hudson himself and is detailed in his biography. Rock was throwing one of his famous parties and Jim showed up driving a Rolls-Royce convertible and wearing a full-length Blackgama mink coat. Rock laughed and said to the guys standing next to him: “Do you think Jim has gone Hollywood?!” 😂

I heard the rumor before. Rock Hudson's being gay was well known in Hollywood. Confidential magazine didn't report on it. Instead they reported on Rory Calhoun's prison record. Someone tried to claim Rock and Liberace had a relationship. Friends of both disputed that story. What if Jim had been straight and just never found the right person? But his marriage confirmed what many already suspected. Thanks for an informative video. But this is one I probably won't be sharing.

Humans are a collective species. We depend on each other for our individual and collective survival. And, morality is an evolved survival mechanism. It is what allows us to cooperate with each other for our individual and collective survival. And, morality changes over time to meet the needs of collectives of humans. That means, what was moral thousands of years ago may not be moral today and what was immoral thousands of years ago may not be immoral today. Chew on this for awhile and then go read Leviticus to see some examples of things that were once immoral but are no longer immoral. Finally, if we were a lone predator species, like sharks, we would have no comprehension of or need for morality.

I’m of the same mind set as @vanmoody Biblically it is not my place to judge. To pray for others, yes. Share the truth, yes. But after that, everything is between God and every individual. I too think Neighbors was a top shelf entertainer. He was very funny, didn’t seem to stretch his roles out into uncharted waters and of course his singing was among the best. A story I heard was when he hit it big, he either his mom or sister a brand new Thunderbird. He commented that he wouldn’t forget where he came from. RIP

I was sorry to hear on one of your earlier videos that the crew on the Griffith show would say cruel things around Jim Nabors referring to him being gay. Basically bullying in a very cruel way.
