It’s been amazing how speedrunning was all Matt really was known for with GTA back then. Then he started gaining more traction with doing mods like Chaos, challenges like the eternal Pacifist and the dreaded OHKO, interactions with the fans through Reddit Recap, then he gets back into speedrunning for over a year or so. Quite a journey

It's sort of sad to see the series finally end permanently, but ultimately you need to do what you feel is best for you. This was the series that got me into your channel a good couple years ago now, and I think you routinely manage to have the highest percentage of my watch time across any of the creators I'm subbed to. Ultimately, I think the reason you can't keep up like you used to is because you used to just play the game so much more on its own. If you devoted a lot of time to it again, and worked through the slow slog of rebuilding muscle memory and strat memory you could do consistent runs, but you would have to suck for a bit before you get good times again. On the plus side of that, having a shitty time to start with will mean that when you start improving you'll start getting greens and golds all the time. It will just take working through the "useless" times. Remember Matt, the series was built on your "useless" runs, but those runs that died, died so the ones where you did get records could live. Remember that you used to hold WRs in every major category. There are very few who can say such a thing.

When I discovered your channel through pacifist%, I was unsure whether or not to subscribe as I enjoyed your content, but was unsure of your character and your other content's quality. Thats when i discovered my favorite series you make: rambles, which informed me more on the type of person you aim to be and your opinions and such, I found a person who cares about being a morally upstanding/good person, while geniunely having good insight into topics. Then I wanted more gta content because I'm such a rockstar games fan and you were the first gta youtuber I watched that wasn't clickbait. That's when I discovered HTSE and Facts & Glitches, which gave me more insight into GTA V, which I consider myself pretty much a veteran player of. I've always enjoyed HTSE and found it a very entertaining series, (i've always enjoyed seeing you succed in HTSE more than fail). Your channel has made a decent impact in my life and your content is still amazing all these years later. You made me enjoy footage of a game that i can't enjoy properly anymore. I played it since day one on the ps3, played alone, sometimes with friends. But most of the time alone. At some point i started a new PSN Profile and so i started this game from zero again, story as online. The ps4 came and i played it on that. Some good updates came, some bad updates came. I was the guy who spends his money on stuff he wanted, not the stuff everyone had just to be competitive, and at some point the balance was ruined. I gave this shitshow that online has gotten a few chances, but at some point i just deleted it, and my honest worked lvl 700 charakter with his over 100 days of playtime is now just a memory from years ago. My last delivery got nuked from a god damn car with bulletproof windows while my grenadelauncher-thingy on the truck was only useable from the passengers seat. Why should i be able to shoot or yeet stickys out of my truck? I wasn't, i got killed and the truck destroyed, ragequited for the last time and instantly deleted that piece of wasted code from my ps4. So many good and fun memories, it is just a game, but it made friends for me and it was fun. A few months after i deleted it a friend started RP on Pc and i joined, funny few weeks we had, and since i had it on pc now i started online again. It was still a shitshow, i couldn't get used to the controlls, the ps4 controller was unusable, the xbox controller i bought for the rp had it's flaws, and aiming was just a pain. I got clipped by almost anyone who didn't stand still for 5 seconds, on console i was sure not the best, but man did i love to punish that stupid hydra and lazer griefers with a normal rpg... Well, as the noob that i became, no idea what to do, almost no option to beginn with because no money, i just had no reason to play that again. But i still loved to watch your videos on that, it was fun, especially to see you struggle on gta guesser. Just because i knew so much from my own playtrough i couldn't believe how you didn't recognized some places, but that's the game, it's different for everybody and your perspective made it interesting for me. I never watched speedruns for entertainment, i watched some just out of curiosity, but that only in 2 games and that's it. It was a great time matto, and i want to say thank you. (Nostalgia kicks hard right now :') )
