I use it as a carb, basically, and get huge clouds. You want to keep it closed to heat it all up good for a while and then about midway through your lung capacity, open it up and close it a few times to get it all into your lungs. Wide open will make it click too far to het all the vapor you could, so rock it open and closed in quick little bursts between longer draws eith the airflow closed. Open it up at the end of your lung capacity to get it all. This should be probably right after it clicks. I also take an open-mouth gasp of air at the very end (after taking the Dynavap out of my mouth) just to make sure all the vapor hits my lungs and isn't sitting there in my mouth or at the top of my throat.

@triggerhappydad652 жыл бұрын
Oh, I kinda disagree with going over the click for ANY amount of time. It clearly says on the website that heating past the click can eventually damage the cap. Plus, you're risking combustion, which is why we're all vaping instead of smoking in the first place. Lastly, I've never EVER gone past the click on either of my caps: the 2020M cap, and the Low Temp Captive Cap. After learning how to use the device (2 years ago), I now consistently get medium to dark brown material with zero burnt material and full extraction. In fact, I let my (smoker) buddy load a glass pipe bowl with some of my ABV (material that's "already been vaped"), and smoke it. He smoked the WHOLE (big) bowl in 3 or 4 big hits, coughed his ass off, and never felt anything from it! This means my Dynavap is VERY efficient, but easy on the lungs.
@G8tr15222 жыл бұрын
@@triggerhappydad65 this is very useful anecdotal information. Thank you.
@G8tr15222 жыл бұрын
_To answer the original question:_ Basically, *if you don't cover it* , some outside air mixes with the hot air from the bowl, at a point past the bowl. - you don't have to pull so hard - the air/vapor you drag will be a lower temperature - the cap doesn't cool down as much (and you can heat it up faster, eg, for a session). This is because you are leaving some hot air inside the bowl. Not so hot that you are de-carbing, but just under that temperature (because hopefully, you stopped pulling only after the cap clicked back). *If you do* (fully) *cover it* , the only air intake is through the cap. - You have to pull much harder (a whole lot harder from my experience) - the air/vapor you drag will be a higher temperature - the cap will cool down a lot faster, because you are extracting all the hot air from the bowl. You will have to spend a longer time heating it up on the next hit. (perhaps do this at the end of a session). The nice part is that you can roll your finger (like he was showing in the video) to get a continuous spectrum between these two intake modes. If you have used a water pipe, have you ever slightly pulled the bowl out after the herb starts to combust? I do this all the time to prevent second-hand smoke from smelling up my house. But this is kind of similar to the port on your DynaVap. Pulling the bowl out slightly will mix outside air with the smoke, thus cooling it off. And you don't have to pull so hard. But you get much smaller hits instead, so it takes several small hits to clear a bowl. This effect seems true in the DynaVap also, but it's not as extreme, from my experience. The only difference from the DynaVap is that, opposite to the DynaVap, I completely clear the hot air from my bowl with this technique. In the DynaVap, letting the extra air flow in actually keeps the bowl warm. And that's what all those fancy animations with rainbow lines was trying to demonstrate in the video. I'll agree that the explanation he gave was kind of unclear. Hope that analogy sort of illustrates the idea.

@@frederik6519 it’s a hole that allows you to clear a full chamber by inhaling.
@Trucks_n_stuff7 ай бұрын
@@frederik6519 on some pipes you have a carb or carburetor. Basically, it allows air to enter when you pull through it. It applies to smoking because when you light the pipe, you hold the carb which forces air to be drawn through the substance you're burning so you get a tighter draw for better production of smoke or in the dynavaps case, vapor. You then release the carb and the smoke you've built up is displaced into your lungs. It's a pretty simple concept, but it can be somewhat difficult to get the perfect amount of draw.

@@Trucks_n_stuffno this is wrong. The whole video was made so people don’t think this. For dynavap. Idk about the science full behind it. This is just from my experience and this video helping me. Cover the hole while sucking and let go to get smoke. But with the dyna if you let the hole open first then you get more vapor. Then at the end you wanna barely cover it to make it last longer. When a carb is closed more heat is available to the system. However on this, when the airport is closed you loose heat. Two different functionalities. After seeing this I agree: The Airport is more than just a carb-hole. If the cap/tip combination allows airflow THEN all of this feathering etc. comes into play. My original experience with the 'M' wasn't like that. When I put the cap on it was sealed shut on that end with no airflow allowed. Although the tips are precision-machined the vapcaps vary from one to the other so you can get a slightly different experience with each one. When I got the titanium tip THEN I got good airflow and I was on my way. I have since found a good partner for every cap/tip so I am pretty well set. But I wanted to get things rolling in the beginning and I stripped out the condenser and put a small band-aid (the adhesive portion) over the airport and I just work with mouth-tokes and breathwork and it's all very good and I am very happy with it and I am looking forward to the new titanium tip. If the new titanium tip can 'breathe through' 85% of the caps tossed at it we will have a WINNER!!!

All these technical terms going over the average person's head while awkwardly using the slang for carburetor - may as well say "choke" instead. An airport is an airplane terminal. Why try appropriating a term commonly used for something entirely unrelated? Especially considering this hole in your stem is more like a carburetor than the previous ones you're trying to differentiate yourself from. If anything you should be championing the use of the word 'carb' here rather than other devices. You're also just losing a lot of people in the details without accurately conveying the results to the end-user. Look at all the people still confused in the comments asking questions answered in the video they just can't understand... Oh well, years-old video anyway.

I'm just guessing but I believe in the cap there is a small rounded disc-like piece that inverts when heated to a certain temp.

so basically, the air port is a carb, or at least similar enough, to where you can call it one unless you're talking to investors
@zargle59243 жыл бұрын
Exactly. From what I gathered it’s a carb but apparently special because it spins the air around
@alfalfa81683 жыл бұрын
@@zargle5924 yep, but it has the same function as a carb, so who cares ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well that was just more confusing.

Modulate it, dont close it then open for the last draw. If you close it it cools the bowl faster and you get a weaker hit
@matheusmotta11323 жыл бұрын
@@emanuelemanuel7038 so you heat the cap with the airport open, then after it clicks and it's time to draw, you modulate it between semi-closed and closed to take the hit, is that right?

does the carb get clogged up with constant use?

its the easiest piece ive ever cleaned lol takes literally 1 minute

For concentrates I find that you must have a closed airport if not you might get a mouth full
@rederickfroders19782 жыл бұрын
Well thats, like, your opinion, man. Yeah it adds a vortex effect but that doesnt make it not a carb. That said, it is functional design and pretty clever. This kinda stuff, that DOES something, is more important to me than a new look every year. I believe your product is pretty expensive, but you make up for that by giving us something that works.
@CGoody5645 жыл бұрын
Ummm... It's called an air inlet, but it is colloquially known as a carb in reference to a carburator, the older part in a car that mixed air with the gasoline... People aren't calling the inlet a carburator; carb is a slang term for air inlet...

A closed carb heats the bowl in a combustion setup, a closed airport cools the bowl in a vaporization setup, so no it's not the same

Yes, but this object juststifies it's pricing. With the half bowl you can save a lot a material and still get baked. And these things so durable. No batteries, no electrical things, nothing.. You can save a lot of money and time with this device. Also easy to clean. It's a one time purchase if you get the right one.

Yeah if u leave it open it stay hot longer because there is less air being pulled into the bowl

Basically if you want a big hit just cover it half way that will get full extraction
@13ivanogre135 жыл бұрын
@@alfonso45901 And I'm a microdoser so I always have the airport covered and that causes the temp to rise and drop faster in the chamber for a smaller hit, which is just the way I like it.
