I have a question, pkeade I need answer. Skinny ankle = small Achilles Moment Arm = More force production = fast speed So, if I have a big medium Tendon moment arm, Can I make them smaller by training or I am cooked? I used to be obese now im bout 18% bodyfat. Just started training sprint seriously like 6 months ago

I’ve been trying to improve my sprinting over the past year. I dropped about 15kg of fat, attended sprint trainings, workout out, etc. About a week ago I ran 100m in 15.07 second at the age of 16. I think I’m going well, I’ll try to improve even more. Thanks for this video!
@Y0ungKingT6 ай бұрын
It’s good that you’re trying to get better but a year of training and you ran 15 seconds? Are you sure it was timed properly?
@ArsalZahid626 ай бұрын
@@Y0ungKingT I wasn't training seriously all of past year (But I was getting fitter). I couldn't find time to go to the park and run. Between december and march, I was attending cricket trainings and games on a regular basis -- eventually I got a lower back injury (so I rested for like a month). When I started doing sprint training twice a week, my lower back pain came back after like 4-5 weeks. And I didn't train until my run (my back is okay now). But I'm quite happy with my 15 seconds, I was probably slower last year despite coming 3rd in my race (This year I came like 5th or 6th but I think that's just because there was more competition).

@@ArsalZahid62 ohhh ok. It’s really good that you’re still pushing. I was just a bit surprised at the time but knowing the backstory behind it it makes sense now

It seams that the posteiror chain achilles and hamstrings are really really important for running/sprinting speed. I ones had a great phase with PB for a short period. Then i lost the speed for some reason. I thought a lot what did i do. I remember i was very fresh because i don't do any lifting but mostly core work, quick multi jumps and sprints with low volume.

The athletes that have had the most success that I have coached. like Christina setting the American record, and Andrew winning high school state champs and setting all of the Sprint records for his high school. along with Michelle Parker the fastest 12-year-old in the world when she was 12, all have this one thing in common. and that is they all follow my coaching direction to a capital T. All the way down to how many minutes between sets what they eat and what they should be thinking about before and after competition. Wyndell Dickinson.

Hello Cesar, I wanted to ask if i could use ai(copilot) to generate personalised sprint training which can can get me from a 16.15 100m to a sub 12 in a years time. Thank you, Jack
@TheSprintProject_6 ай бұрын
I don't think you need anything complicated to improve from 16.15 100m
@jrmusic97826 ай бұрын
@@TheSprintProject_ So you think copilot, a free AI program by Microsoft is not too complicated or too complicated?
@theloafy6 ай бұрын
@@jrmusic9782It’s not that copilot is too complex or simple, but you can get 100m times down from 16 to 13 easily if you simply just go out there and sprint any kind of reps. I used the speed blueprint for improving my times but I think it’s more built for when you hit the sub 13 mark. I’d prolly stick to just working on proper form first, then use that training to start doing reps on the track/field, maybe 4x60s on one day, 3x200 on another, and 10m starts after those. You can use any excess days for rest, but if it’s not needed I’d prolly do a small amount of plyometrics or hit the gym. (Credibility: HS Varsity Sprinter, went from 12.62 to 11.96 just using this training in the off season) Hope this helps!
