I’m not used to using they/them, but Addison was quite polite and kind in her explanation and that is refreshing compared to some people’s attitude of how they wish to be treated. If I met Addison on the street, I would have no problem addressing her as she wishes. It’s when people demand in a hateful, forceful way that they be labeled as they want that makes it off putting and seem crazy.
