That is more evidence in their favour. It is hard to believe that they are still in prison. They were abused and trapped in situation where their father's influence and power would appear impossible to escape. I think we need to keep talking about them until someone, like your mother, comes forward. There is surely more evidence out there which could help them appeal. they never said he didn’t do so without debt though. i would assume he got some scholarships or something and only had to pay a fraction of his tuition fees, and i’m sure he eventually paid everything off once his career took off. you’d be surprised what some research and academic effort can get you scholarship wise, you genuinely could get through college with way less debt than you otherwise would’ve had.

My stepdad went to college in the late 60's and his tuition was $1,100. He paid it himself as he went by bussing tables and washing dishes part time. Now he thinks today's college students need to roll up their sleeves and work harder lol.

Buzzfeed left out so much important information about the case. They painted out the brothers to be these rich spoiled kids that killed their parents because they weren’t getting money, when really it was because of years and years of physical and mental abuse. They walked around in a trauma filled home. Their father was not a very good man, to them, their mother, and others that could testify to this. I became very interested in this case a while ago and did a lot of research on it, I can say that from what I know Buzzfeed didn’t do enough research. A lot of people that worked in, around, or did research on this case agree when they say that the brothers claims of being molested by their father was brushed off because at the time that was unheard of. No one wanted to believe that a father could do that to his own sons. I recall someone even saying, “If they were the Menendez sisters they would have walked”, which I agree with. Because they were boys there was no way they allowed their father to manipulate them or to molest them, is what many believe back then. Buzzfeed also left out that they said their father told them since they were children that he had so much power and authority that he’d kill them and get away with it. I’d think most would be trauma filled if occurred to us. Now I’m not trying to pitty them nor defend them, because at the end of the day killing your own parents is terrible. I just think that if this case occurred right now it would have a different ending and they’d get a different sentence. Also Buzzfeed pls do your research correctly and don’t leave out important information!

I recommend watching the trial footage. This doesn’t cover any of their sexual abuse and only paints them as spoiled rich kids when it was more than that. Not excusing what they did at all but it’s still important to know the backstory.

I hung out in Princeton in the 80s and knew a lot of the places, though to my knowledge I never encountered the Menendez brothers. Victor's Pizzeria, now occupied by a Dunkin Donuts, was a place they tried to buy but the owner refused because their offer was so high. He knew it was blood money. The chicken place they bought is still there and hasn't changed much.

The kids acted that way because they had emotional and psychological issues growing up brought about by the repeated sexual abuse by people who are suppose to guide and protect them, people who they are suppose to wholly trust, their parents. Does not need rocket science to understand.
@Lorisa253 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised Buzzfeed who are incredibly PC downplayed the sexual abuse as only a possibility. Based off other interviews and trial videos I've watched of this case I 100% think their father was sexually abusing them.
